I did not know that and am impressed that you do!

Sorry for Butting in, but I am such a freak about this kind of thing!! I have a stack of animal cards and I think I have memorized like a quarter inch of their scientific names, and then for science we are putting different animals on a map on our wall, and We list the scientific names on the pictures, so I have learned and memorized more than my quarter inch cardstack lol!!

Now, Ailuropoda, If you could tell me if I got these right, lol, LMK!!

Ailuropoda menaleuca – Giant panda

Ailurus fulgens – Red panda (Not sure if this one is Ailura or Ailurus. . .)

I swear I didn’t look, lol!!

I usually prefer to send out a batch of gifts on Christmas Eve, unless I feel that one of my friends is in eminent danger of getting a duplicate in the interim. I think that’s when I’ll send your gift, unless something comes up. I love this time of year :)
