Not sure if this is the correct place, but I needed to give a shout out to whomever is in charge of the ads here on Webkinz Newz…THANK YOU SO MUCH for replacing the “grown-up” ads that had been scrolling here forever, with actual Webkinz and Amazing World ads. These are far more appropriate, and topical. I feel like I can spend much more time on the site now exploring and relaxing, not worrying about what sort of video might pop up in the side bar. This is very very very very very very very much appreciated. Many Thanks!

Umm, I don’t want to be “that girl”, but I feel like I should say this…I’ve been noticing art theft in the Share Center. I won’t say names, but some people have been taking art from other sites and recoloring them as their own. I know you probably don’t mean any harm, but those artists worked hard on their artwork, and taking it as your own without their permission is stealing. Again, I won’t say names; if you don’t do this, I’m not talking to you. But for the people who do, please think about the artists you’re taking from. Thank you for reading!

I dunno, I’ve had a sneaking suspicion that some of them were stolen but I didn’t do the research until recently. I just feel like I need to speak out, because art theft is never okay. People put time and effort into their artwork, and for someone to just repost it and claim it as their own is just wrong. It’s frustrating, and I think one of them even got showcased. :(

Ah geez :P It’s amazing that people will actually go that low. Well, some people don’t even realize they are stealing, but those who do, just why. I could probably imagine people would steal from “Deviantart” Since, well, I can imagine that’s easy to save pictures from. :P Or even from Google. Simple Google search, boom. They’ve suddenly made this amazing picture and have put they’re signature on it. I haven’t really seen anything, but I am now a bit suspicious. I’m glad you’ve brought this up though Fracktail, your absolutely right. This is an issue that needs to be addressed promptly. :l

Well, some of them actually weren’t from DA, but I know exactly what you’re talking about. People steal from there all the time, it’s sad. I mean…I just can’t imagine why anyone would want to do that. I mean, taking someone else’s work isn’t going to help you get better, and it definitely won’t give the same satisfaction that creating something with your own two hands would. What’s the point? Five seconds of fame? Wish-fulfillment? I don’t get it. I’m glad you feel the same though, at first I thought people would think I was crazy when I made that post (?) but now I’m glad that I said something.

Same here. I don’t understand art theft. If I ever want to use art from something I always try to find the creator of that artwork and ask them. I never would want to be stealing, because one, it’s illegal and two, why? Why would anyone even WANT to? Soo yeah.. I remember the last time I asked was for a Pokémon picture that I was asking to use on a mug. It’s not that hard to ask either. Perhaps if you see that artwork in the Fan Art again you can report it??

But suuuuurely the tooth fairy has visited you at least once in your life?? The tooth fairy makes it to everyone. Wolves lose teeth too, right? Unless…unless YOU’RE the tooth fairy?????? AHHHH PLOT TWIST?!?!! I gotta make this a story! Report it to the tabloids! Pokekinz, get your camera! We need to interview the tooth fairy!!!
