Roberta’s Homemade Holidays: One Tired Bunny
Know what takes a bit longer than I thought it would? Making homemade gifts. So far, I’ve managed to do the following: Personalized bookmark for my grandpa. Tote bag for my cousin Emmy. And that’s it! Can you believe it?! Two gifts. I’m SO far behind. I’ve got a TON more to do.  I stayed up until 11:00 last night working on the tote bag. My mom found me at my desk, and I thought she was going to yell at me. Instead, she just said ‘go to bed, honey. You’re working too hard.’ Little does she know I still have her gift (and a million others) to make! Do you think I can get it all done in time?!

Cowabelle’s Christmas List
Whew! What a LONG day of walking around. I’m going to need at least three cookies and two glasses of milk to recover! What have I been up to? Glad you asked! I went back to the W Shop today and found a few – OK, a LOT – more things for my list. It’s getting hard to remember everything I want to add to my list between the time I walk from the W Shop back to my house! My friends haven’t started their lists yet – which is too bad, because the sooner you write it, the sooner you can mail it. The sooner you mail it, the sooner SantaKinz gets it. And the sooner THAT happens, the sooner you get presents, presents, PRESENTS!  I LOVE Christmas and I cannot wait until Christmas morning!

It Snowed!
Last night, you should’ve seen the storm! It must have snowed six inches! Stoogles called me and asked if I wanted to go sledding with him today. Of course I do! Now, I do have a math test tomorrow, but I’m pretty sure I know the material. I looked it over for about half an hour yesterday, so that ought to do it. There’s something with algebra…letters and numbers and stuff like that. How hard can it be? I got a C on my last math test, so I’m sure I can get at least that on this one. I know Alex has been studying for the past three days – but how much fun is that? NONE AT ALL. So I’m going to go and have me a little break. Then MAYBE I’ll look at the book when I get home tonight. But for now – SLEDDING!
Roberta’s Homemade Holidays: Tote Bag
OK, so the bookmark is almost done (just a few more finishing touches) and I thought of another gift to make – this one is going to be for my cousin Emmy. Emmy is an artist, so she’s always lugging around sketchbooks and pencils and stuff. I’ve decided to make her a tote bag. Here’s how!  What you need: Canvas tote bag, needle, thread, felt or fabric scraps, pencil, scissors What you do: Draw a design on the bag. You can make it as complicated or as simple as you like. Arrange your fabric scraps in the design; cut them as needed. Sew the fabric scraps onto the bag. If you like, add the recipient’s name in permanent marker. Â

Hailey and Elwin Decorate Fluffington’s Games Room!
Hey, readers! Hailey here! So Elwin and I had a lot of fun decorating Fluffington’s living room but I’m not sure how much Fluffington liked it. I mean, he SEEMED to like it, but he was a little grumpy when he first came in. He kept asking where his gold furniture was. And purple – he kept asking us didn’t we know that purple was the color of royalty. Um, can you say ‘delusional’? Anyway… now we’re onto the Games Room. Since there didn’t seem to be any gold or purple, we thought we might be able to have a little more fun with this one.        Fluffington’s games room is pretty cool. There is just about every game you can imagine and plenty of space to play. He’s also got some yummy snack areas set up. There’s even a sandwich maker. We want to maintain all of the fun and leave lots of space for games, while still capturing the holiday spirit. I sure hope Fluffington likes the results of this one!             Ho! Ho! Ho! This room is still packed with … Read more
Salley’s Winter Blues
Hey everyone,Today is SUCH a bad day. A horrible day, even. Today, my BFF (Stoogles) and I had a HUGE fight. A gigantic fight. Maybe the biggest fight in the history of Kinzville. What did we fight about, you ask? Christmas. Or, rather, where I’ll be spending Christmas. This year, my dad asked if I could come and visit him in West Kinzville. I usually see my dad one weekend a month (he travels a lot for his job), but he’ll be around for Christmas this year and I haven’t had Christmas with him for a really long time. My mom is going to go and stay at my grandma’s house, so she said it was fine if I wanted to go to my dad’s. I decided that it would be pretty fun to see him, and to see the rest of that side of my family. I told Stoogles the exciting news and he was SO mad. Not even regular mad. SUPER mad. When I asked why, he said that I was wrecking his Christmas! Can you believe that? I’m leaving on December 20, and apparently that’s before everyone in the ‘Kinz … Read more
Roberta’s Homemade Holidays: Bookmark
I thought of a really neat idea for my grandpa today – a homemade bookmark! My poppa loves to read, so this is perfect for him. Want to make one for the bookworm on your list?  What you need:  Cardstock in two colors, embroidery thread in two colors, one-hole punch, ruler, scissors, craft glue  What you do: Cut out a rectangle that’s 8 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Cut out another rectangle that’s 9 inches long and 2 inches wide. Mount the smaller rectangle on the larger one. When the glue is dry, punch a hole at the top of the rectangle. Take your embroidery thread and cut six pieces; three of each color. Each piece should be four inches long. Put your embroidery threads through the hole and tie a knot at the bottom of the threads. Decorate your bookmark to suit the recipient of the gift. Â
