Student Council Outing: Getting Rides
Whoa! This is Stoogles here. So Salley and Purr-cilla and I just got back from the party rental shop. Um, can I live there? I think it was the coolest place I’ve ever seen! They had so many amazing rides! When we got in there Salley and I saw so many awesome rides that we wanted to get for the fair but every time we started looking at some epic thing, Purr-cilla practically snapped at us that we had a budget and we couldn’t just get every single neat thing we saw. She marched us straight over to the clerk and told him the three things on our list. We had the budget for Bumper Cars, a Mine Cart Ride and a Giant Slide. Which, I will admit, are all pretty awesome. But still – when I saw some of the items they had on display, I couldn’t help wishing that we had just a little more money. The BEST Fair
Salley Cat here. You know, ever since Purr-cilla came through with that petition idea for the Halloween Parade, she has been acting like she knows how we should do everything around here. I’m kind of regretting that I ever invited her to be on School Council in the first place. Stoogles and I have this amazing idea for the coolest fair Kinzville Academy has ever seen. It is going to be so much fun (the ‘Kinz are going to be so happy they elected me!) We have so much awesome stuff planned. And I don’t care what Purr-cilla said – we’re not being too ambitious. We raised lots of funds at our Bake Sale and if we plan this thing right I’m sure we can get all the rides and games we want. It’s a good thing that I’m president and not her. I can’t wait to start shopping for all the cool stuff for our fall fair!

School Council Minutes –November 2
Recorded by: Stoogles, Vice President Re: Ideas for Fun and Exciting Ways to Liven the School Year Called by: Salley Cat, President In attendance: Salley Cat (see above), Stoogles (see above) and Purr-cilla, Treasurer Okay, so after much discussion about what the school council should do to create some buzz around the school, we decided that the best thing to do would be to throw a fall fair. We figured that would cover all the bases – it would give everyone a chance to have some fun and go on rides, as well as offering lots of yummy food and games. Salley and I were talking about it last night on our way home from school. We are going to have a giant slide, Bumper cars, a Mine Cart ride and a Super Swing. We’re also going to try and get our hands on a roller coaster and giant Ferris wheel. We’re going to have a barbecue with burgers and sausages, a candy apple cart, a popcorn machine, a candy floss maker and a vending machine full of chocolate bars. Submitted by: web with Dakota What you need: 1 Hanger 1 Ponytail Small flashlight Colored pencils Paper Tape What you do: 1. Put the pony tail on your Webkinz back. 2. Slide in the hanger. Make sure there’s a little bit at the front to steer. 3. Cover the hanger with paper. 4. Decorate. 5. Slide the small flashlight to the ponytail. Salley’s Brilliant Idea
November has never been my favorite month. I really like October, I totally love December – but November is just kind of an obstacle between Halloween and Christmas. So that’s where I got my brilliant idea to make November exciting. I suggested having some kind of event and the rest of the council (Stoogles and Purr-Cilla) thought it was a totally great idea (OK, so Purr-Cilla didn’t say ‘totally great’, but I know that deep down she’s on board). We talked about several options. Here’s what we came up with: Bake sale (Purr-Cilla said, “We just did this. We’re probably going to have one before Christmas. What is it with you and bake sales?” I like brownies, OK? Sheesh.) Craft Show (Stoogles was against this one. “What am I going to do at a craft sale? Buy a teapot cozy? A pinecone with eyeballs?” Wow. Everyone’s a critic.) Fall Fair (no one really had anything bad to say about this idea. Because it’s AWESOME!)
