War Child Canada – $210,000 When you purchase a Webkinz Cares Lil’ Kinz™ pet at Walgreens, one dollar from each toy sold will be donated to Webkinz Foundation. What does Webkinz Foundation do? Webkinz Foundation supports charities that improve the welfare, development, health and safety of children. One of the charities that Webkinz Foundation has supported is War Child Canada. War Child Canada focuses on improving the welfare of children and families affected by war. One such endeavor is the Children’s Trauma Recovery Program in Sri Lanka, which focuses on pre-school development, psychosocial support, basic math and reading skills, and nutrition and medical programs for trauma-affected children. Webkinz Foundation has donated $210,000 towards this cause, so War Child Canada can continue to provide care and opportunities for these children.
