Secret Snow Castle Contest Winners
Congratulations to Olivia, Cecilia, Autumn, Helen and Gabby! They’ve each been awarded an eStore exclusive Secret Snow Castle. We wanted to know your favorite things to do in winter. Read the winning entries below. My favorite thing to do in the winter is going sledding. You can make any type of path that you want, an icy, bumpy, short, long, zig-zag and many more! I love the feeling of happiness as you are gliding down the hill. It may be a trek up, but it is all worth it. I especially love going to a HUGE sledding hill and bringing one of my friends. So grab your toboggan/sled and go sledding today! – Olivia My favorite things to do outdoors in the winter are playing snowball fights with all of your friends, building snow forts, building a big huge snow man, making snow angels, making a big huge hill at the bottom of your swing set slide, sledding down big or steep hills, making snow balls for your snow forts, making a big huge snow tunnel, finding icicles and eating them, and making chairs out of snow and sitting in them while drinking hot chocolate! Those are my favorite things … Read more

Nibbles’ News

Dear Diary, You’ll never believe what happened today! My sister Plumpy chose me as a bridesmaid! I’m still in shock! Not only do I get to wear a GORGEOUS dress, but I also get to stand next to Plumpy when she gets married! The other bridesmaids are Ruby (our cousin) and Tabby (Plumpy’s really good friend). Plumpy’s best friend is Wiggles, and she wanted a super-special job for him. So he’s her POH (Pig Of Honor). I’m actually getting a little bit excited about the wedding! What color of dress will I get? What kind of flowers will I hold? Eek! I can’t wait to find out! Love, Nibbles
Craft: Big Watercolor Flowers

It might not be springtime quite yet, but I can’t help but make a few pretty flowers to decorate my room! Here’s how to make some of your own! What you need: Flower-shaped coffee filters (the basket kind), watercolor paint, Q-tips or paintbrush, water, cardboard (for laying the flowers out so they can dry), pipe cleaners, beads What you do: 1. Get the watercolor paints nice and wet – add lots of water. 2. Use the Q-tip or paintbrush to dab the colors onto the coffee filters. The colors will run together and be gorgeous! 3. Let the coffee filter flowers dry. 4. When the flowers are dry, poke a hole through the center and put a bead on one end to secure it in place. Twist the filter around the bead so it looks like a flower. You can put more than one filter together for a fluffier flower. 5. Put another bead onto the pipe cleaner (it will be below the flower) to keep the blossom in place. 6. Make a whole bunch and decorate your room!

Bad Luck?
Dear Diary, Do you believe in bad luck? I don’t think I do – but my friend Sparky does. He says he’s been having the worst luck ever. He broke his skateboard, skinned his paws, lost his handheld game, and flunked a test. OK, so that sounds pretty bad. But is it because of bad luck? I don’t know. His skateboard needed fixing and he kept putting it off. He’s always misplacing things…and he didn’t study for the test, so what did he think would happen? Anyway, he was really bummed at today’s ‘Kinz meeting…so much so that after he left, my friends and I discussed a way to make him feel better. Now, it does involve a little bit of trickery…but sometimes that’s OK, right? Stoogles decided that he’d tell Sparky that he’s giving him a lucky rock. The rock isn’t lucky at all, of course. It’s just a nice, shiny gray rock that Stoogles found one day. But as Roberta said, “if Sparky BELIEVES it’s lucky, maybe he’ll start to FEEL luckier…and less sad.”And she’s got a good point. So we’re going to give him the … Read more

Big City Here We Come!
I am so pumped! It’s me, Polly, btw! My mom and dad just told Amanda and me some big news – we are going to the Big City for Spring Break! Which would be awesome enough (I used to live in the Big City and it is WAY cool) but get this: they said that we could each invite a friend. Oh my gosh! This is going to be so awesome. Taking one of my friends around the city and showing them all the cool sights? What could be more fun than that? Um, hello? Nothing, that is what. The only thing was that it was kind of a tough choice, deciding which friend to invite. I mean, all of the ‘Kinz are so cool, right? Obviously I wasn’t going to invite one of the boys, so that leaves out Sparky, Alex and Stoogles. In the end I chose Molly to come with me. I just know that she is going to love it, and she kind of could use a break from Millie to be perfectly honest. I love Millie, but little kids can sure be a handful sometimes. When I called Molly … Read more

Ice Swan Contest Winners
Congratulations to Gabrielle, Anya, Taylor, Janice and Jennifer! They’ve each been sent a Secret Code for an eStore exclusive Ice Swan! We wanted to know what happened when the Ice Swan met the Fire Fawn. Read the winning entries below! The Ice Swan saw the Fire Fawn, and thought that she was beautiful. The only problem was if the Ice Swan got near the Fire Fawn, then she would melt! The Ice Swan was terrified. So, she hid behind a rock, and said quietly to the Fire Fawn, “Hi. I’m Ice Swan. You are very beautiful to me, but I’m also afraid of you because If I get too close to you, then I will melt!” The Fire Fawn heard this. She felt sad because many animals didn’t like her because she was made of fire. “It’s OK,” She replied. “Just because I’m fire and you’re ice doesn’t mean that we can’t be friends, does it?” This made Ice Swan feel better. “We can, but how?” That got them both to thinking. “Hey!” Fire Fawn says. “I just remembered, that just for this purpose, I made a special coat so other animals wouldn’t get too hot, or, in your case, … Read more
