Crafty Critterz: Webkinz Game
Submitted by: mcf with Coco It is a race to see who finishes first on the Webkinz path with obstacles and Webkinz chance cards along the way! What you need: Images of the animals from Webkinz News White sticker labels Markers Bristol board Scissors Webkinz Figurines Single Dice What you do: 1. Use the images of the animals from Webkinz Newz to create Webkinz stickers. We had precut stickers so they are fairly large which resulted in a fairly large game board but you could use smaller ones to create your path. You could even cut and paste the pictures onto the game board instead of stickers. 2. For fun, you can lay out the Webkinz in order of release date along the path so everyone could see the first plush Webkinz to the last. 3. Draw on the staircases with marker. This is really the best part of the game! You must go up or down the staircase if you land on tile at the start or finish of the staircase. 4. Crafty Critterz: Crazy Spider
Submitted by: God with peanut What you need: Black spray paint Foam ball 8 Black pipe cleaners Scissors 2 Googly eyes Hot glue What you do: 1. Have an adult assist with spray painting the foam ball black. Allow to dry. 2. When its dry put 4 pipe cleaners on each side. 3. Crafty Critterz: Hot Air Balloon
Submitted by: can with Zoey What you need: 1 balloon 1 square Box 4 pipe cleaner Makers Brown construction paper Scissors Tape / Glue What you do: 1. Cut off the top of the square box with your scissors to make the basket of your hot air balloon. 2. Cover the sides of the box with brown construction paper. Glue or tape it on securely. Then with a brown maker draw lines on the paper to make it look more like a basket. 3. Tape a pipe cleaner inside each corner of the box. They will hold up the balloon. 4. Blow up your balloon until it reaches the size that your want. Tie the balloon. 5. Decorate the balloon in any design that you want with the markers. 6. Tape the top end of the pipe cleaners to the sides of the balloon. Be careful the balloon can bust. Now your Webkinz will be ready to float around in their hot air balloon! Line the inside of your box with black construction paper using glue or two sided tape. 2. Use white chalk to write “BAT CAVE” on a piece of black. Submitted by: gil with Carl What you need: Black, brown and red pipe cleaners White fabric Markers Scissors Tape or glue String What you do: Cape: 1. Use scissors to cut a square of white fabric about the size of your Webkinz back and shoulders. 2. Color a letter of your choice in a bright color, and color the rest of the cape black. 3. Cut a piece of string two times the length of your Webkinz neck. 4. Fold the very top of the cape over the middle of the string and back to the cape so that there is about one centimeter of fabric folded over the string. Use glue or tape to make it stay. 5. Wrap the cape around your Webkinz neck and tie the string in a bow. Glasses: 6. Cut a black pipe cleaner in thirds. 7. Carefully bend one third into an “O” shape. Do the same with another third. 8. Submitted by: sop with sophie What you need: Wire Black craft paper Hot glue Hole punch Scissors What you do: Witch Hat 1. Take one sheet of black craft paper and curve it into a cone shape. Glue it to a circle of paper. 2. Punch a hole on both side and tie a wire through it. Make sure one side of the wire is easy to untie. Cloak 3. Cut black craft paper into a size that will fit your Webkinz. 4. Punch out holes on each side of the cloak by the belly and chest. Tie a wire through it. Arrange strips in an asterisk shape with ends overlapping in center. Staple together. 3. Pull up other ends to middle, staple in place. 4. Cut out a leaf from the green paper. 5. Cut two strips of green paper and wrap around a pencil. 6. Staple two strips to the top of the pumpkin. 7. Glue leaf in the middle to cover all staples. Submitted by: Izz with Cheeky What you need: 1 ¾ cup all purpose flour 1 ¼ teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon baking soda 2/3 cup sugar ¾ teaspoon salt 1/3 cup shortening 2 eggs 2 tablespoons milk 1 cup mashed ripe banana What you do: 1. Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt in a bowl and set it aside. 2. Beat sugar and shortening with a mixer. 3. Add eggs one at a time and the milk until smooth. 4.
