The Small Signature and Signature Endangered pets for March 2010 may be getting a lot of attention at the moment, but there’s also a special Signature pet coming next month: the Signature Pig! The Signature Pig comes with a Homemade Apple Core Pie and the Muddy Marsh, which is pictured below: You’ll love rolling around in the mud with the Signature Pig! The Pig is the perfect porky pal, as it’s always ready to head outside to play—rain or shine—in its messy Muddy Marsh. Leading the pack of our Featured Pets for March 2010 is the fun-loving Ferret. The Ferret comes with a Foot Long Feast and the Relaxing Longtub, pictured below: Standing tall with a long, lean neck and a beautiful brown coat, the curious Ferret is always on the lookout for a snack when it’s not sound asleep. You’ll often find the Ferret hiding about, but feed him a Foot Long Feast before fixing him a bath in his Relaxing Longtub, and you’ll find yourself with a friend for life!

We’ve got some exciting news! Webkinz World has officially been nominated as one of the ‘Best Virtual World sites for Kids’ at About.com! Here are the details: Reader’s Choice nominations for the 2010 Best Virtual World for Kids included worlds with monkeys, dinosaurs, pandas, historical characters, robots, penguins, dogs, bears, cats and more. Parents and kids visited in droves to share why their virtual world was the best. With nearly 40 sites in the running the competition was fierce. The top 5 in this category were selected largely based on the number of nominations received. We’re extremely proud to have been nominated, and now we need your help to win! February’s Featured And Signature Pets
February is here, and with it has come a lovable group of new plush pets. This month, four new pets join Webkinz World: the Old English Sheepdog, the Tree Kangaroo, the Beaver, and the Signature Dutch Bunny! Could a Beaver and a Tree Kangaroo share a tree? Would an Old English Sheepdog share a plate of fish and chips with a Dutch Bunny? Find out for yourself! Look for these pets at your favorite Webkinz retailers this month!
Update: What’s New in Webkinz World
We’ve got a big Webkinz World update today, with a brand new activity and new items. Here’s some of the fresh content new to Webkinz World today: Keeping The Park Clean: The Kinzville Park is covered in trash! Some visitors haven’t been cleaning up after themselves, and now it’s up to you to clean up the park. Pick up trash to raise your “Green Score” in order to earn prizes and special rankings to show off on your MyPage! New Space Theme: Send your Webkinz pets into space in style with the spectacular Space theme, called the “Galaxy Collection.” A selection of items from this theme has been released this week! Bug Fixes: We’ve fixed a few bugs around Webkinz World, as well, including an issue with KinzChat Plus in the Kinzville Park, an issue which prevented members from purchasing the special Sale item in the KinzStyle Outlet, and an issue in which the Game Of The Day didn’t appear in the Arcade. New Theme: Galaxy Collection
Send your Webkinz pets into space in style with the gorgeous Galaxy Collection theme! This new theme will be added with the Webkinz World update coming tomorrow. Here’s a preview of one of the items from the Galaxy Collection theme, the Navigation Control Center! With this week’s update, we’ll be putting out a good chunk of the new theme. The rest of the Galaxy Collection items will be coming soon, so start collecting the set right away! The new theme will let you create a room that is truly out of this world!
Valentine’s Day: Pets, Prizes, And More!
Love is in the air this February, and Valentine’s Day is coming! In the spirit of the season, there are some great Webkinz great plush and surprises on the way. Headlining the holiday is our collection of special seasonal pets, including the Love Frog, Love Monkey, and the brand new Love Lion! We’ll also have a very special Valentine’s pet available to all members through the Ganz eStore this month: the Love Kitten! Last year’s pet, the Love Dino, is also available on select days this month, but it is only available to Deluxe Advantage members. We’ve also got some really great new Valentine’s Day eStore items coming, as well. Better yet, logging into Webkinz World on Valentine’s Day will net some special surprises, there are themed Quick draws on Valentine’s Day weekend, and there’s a Webkinz Newz contest with a really romantic prize! Now Retired: Webkinz Triceratops
As much as we love each and every Webkinz pet in Webkinz World, the time comes when some of our older pets must be retired. Retired Pets are pets that we no longer produce. Today, we would like to announce that the Webkinz Triceratops is being retired. The Triceratops was released in January 2010. The Triceratops is unlike any other dinosaur you’ll ever meet! Aside from its cool patterned frill and three horns, this dino also has a personality so unique and interesting!

Preview: Keeping The Park Clean
After spending the last two months working hard on the Webkinz Arcade, we’ve decided to focus our energies on a different part of the site. After launching late last year, the Kinzville Park has become a popular place to play in Webkinz World. There’s always new people to meet and play with in the Park! While the park has become popular, though, it has also become dirty. Trash has begun to appear in the park, and it’s up to us to think of the environment and clean up the park! That’s why we’ve got a brand new activity called “Keeping The Park Clean,” which challenges each and every one of you to help us keep the park pristine!
