In Room: Marshmallow Bunny
With Easter on the horizon, the time for great Spring-themed pets has arrived. This year, we’ve got a beautiful, bubbly bunny to celebrate the coming holiday. The Marshmallow Bunny comes with a Miniature Marshmallow Plate and Marshmallow Plant Seeds, which is pictured below. Just in time for Easter, the Marshmallow Bunny has arrived! This little pal loves to hop all over Webkinz World. Marshmallow Bunnies like to brighten up everyone’s day. In Room: Signature Dutch Bunny
As has become tradition, the Tree Kangaroo, Old English Sheepdog, and Beaver featured pets for February will be joined by a special Signature pet, the Signature Dutch Bunny. February’s Signature pet comes with Boerenkoleslaw and a Tulip Garden, which is pictured below. Soft to the touch and happy to hop into your arms, the Signature Dutch Bunny loves to snuggle. You’ll have to mind the vegetables in your yard around this one, though, as it tends to trounce about its Tulip Garden in search of carrots for some breakfast Boerenkoleslaw. Preview: Tunneling Twigzy, Our New Arcade Game
With the addition of Polarberry Jam and Jumbleberry Fields in December, the Webkinz Arcade has been bustling lately. And while everyone has been enjoying deftly dodging Yetis and collecting berries, we’re not done with the Arcade yet. Coming soon is another brand new arcade game for your playing pleasure that will not only provide some fun solo play but will also give you the chance to compete for high scores in the Tournament Arena. Introducing Tunneling Twigzy! Tunneling Twigzy is part puzzle game and part action game, requiring both quick fingers and a quick mind. As the courageous caterpillar Twigzy, players must dig through a tree trunk to reach the ultimate party pad located towards the bottom of the trunk. While digging downwards, players must also move left and right to avoid the falling debris that tumbles down behind them as they move down the tree. In Room: Old English Sheepdog
Along with the Beaver and the Tree Kangaroo, the Old English Sheepdog is one of our featured pets for February 2010. The Old English Sheepdog comes with Sheepherders’ Pie and a Double Decker bus, which is pictured below. The Old English Sheepdog is a refined rascal who is always ready to go for a ride in its dashing Double Decker bus. This proud pet loves to feel its shaggy white coat rustling in the wind while wheeling around Webkinz World almost as much as it loves snacking on some Sheepherders’ Pie. In Room: Tree Kangaroo
Joining the Beaver as one of our featured pets for February is the Tree Kangaroo. The Tree Kangaroo comes with a Tropical Fruit Flan and the Remote Rainforest, which is pictured below. You’ll want to jump at the chance to adopt the new Tree Kangaroo. Boisterously bouncing about, this mirthful marsupial is always happy to hop its way around Webkinz World! And when the Tree Kangaroo all tuckered out, it loves to taste Tropical Fruit Flan and relax in its Remote Rainforest. Watch out for this wild Webkinz in February 2010!
In Room: Beaver
The long-awaited release of the Webkinz Beaver is coming next month! One of February’s featured pets, the Beaver comes with a Barkberry Smoothie and a Beaver Lodge Bed, which is pictured below. Few pets make a better buddy than a Beaver. The Beaver braves even the coldest climates as he uses his talented tail and teeth to work wood into cool creations like its Beaver Lodge Bed. Watch out for the Beaver in February 2010!
Magical Forest Bug Fix Coming
While we’ve been working hard to update Webkinz World with new games and content, we also spend a great deal of time fixing bugs and glitches that crop up. This allows us to make sure that Webkinz World is in tip-top shape for you, our valued members. As we announced with the recent update to Webkinz World, we’ve been working hard to fix the Magical Forest Silver Key issue that causes the game to freeze. We have received reports that the issue is persisting even after the recent update, so we are working to identify the problems and fix this bug now. We apologize for any inconvenience. For more information, stay tuned to Webkinz Newz for further updates regarding this and other issues affecting Webkinz World. We’ll have more on this story as it develops. Update: As announced by the Creative Director on our official Twitter feed, this issue has now been fixed, and the Magical Forest is open again!

Have you contributed to the Caring Valley yet? Even in the cold of winter, Caring Valley trees continue to grow. Purchase a Caring Valley Husky this month to get four saplings that you can plant to contribute to a charitable cause, and you’ll also recieve the January Caring Valley Tree, the Party Palm! To celebrate a new year of the charitable Caring Valley, we’ve begun a Caring Valley Awareness Campaign! You may have noticed floating leaves falling about Webkinz World over the weekend. Clicking one of these leaves will reward you with a Caring Valley Mint Chocolate! This event will occur from time to time within Webkinz World, so look out for falling leaves, and consider purchasing a Caring Valley pet!

Whether it’s visiting friends or just hanging out around the house, the Schnauzer knows how to make life fun, and January’s Pet Of The Month is ready to rock out to its brand new Pet Of The Month video, “Mustache Louie“! Adopt the Schnauzer any time in January to get a Pet of the Month loot bag, filled with prizes and a surprise you can’t get anywhere else. Update: What’s New in Webkinz World
We’ve got a big Webkinz World update today, with a brand new game and some brand new items. Here’s some of the fresh content new to Webkinz World today: Duck Crossing: Our newest addition to the Arena, Duck Crossing is a multiplayer strategy game which requires planning and patience. Each player controls a duck, and the goal of the game is to move your duck from one end of the pond to the opposite end. New Theme Items: You’ll have the perfect play place for your pets with our newly-revamped “Kids” Theme, which is replacing the old Kids Theme that will now be retired to the Curio Shop. New Superbed: Sitting atop an atlas, touched up with a telescope, and finished with a flashlight, the Explorer Adventures Bed is a wonder of Webkinz World! Bug Fixes: We’ve fixed a few bugs around Webkinz World as well, including the Silver Key freezing issue in the Magical Forest. January’s Signature Pet
Not to be outdone by this month’s featured pets, January’s Signature Pet is a one-of-a-kind pup that is forever faithful. You’d be hard pressed to find a more adorable dog than the new Signature German Shepherd! Signature German Shepherds are tops when it comes to being loyal, strong and brave dogs. They will do anything to help a friend and anything to save the day! German Shepherds love to exercise, so make sure you’ve got lots of room for this big dog! Notice: Pet Of The Month Loot Bag Issue Fixed
We have an update regarding the status of the Pet Of The Month loot bags for January. Following the new year, there was a issue that affected a small percentage of our members preventing the loot bag from being properly awarded when adopting the Schnauzer, January’s Pet Of The Month. The issue was fixed shortly after the reports began coming in. We are happy to report that those members who did not receive the loot bag when adopting the Schnauzer can now do so. To obtain your loot bag, log into your account, switch to the pet Schnauzer that you adopted this month, and use the “Things To Do” menu to navigate to your room. Once you enter your room, you will receive your Pet Of The Month loot bag. We apologize for any inconvenience. We’ve had a talk with the Koala was who unwilling to allow the Schnauzer to take Pet of The Month honors from it and decided to steal some of the Pet of The Month loot bags. The Koala apologizes to you all, as well. Mustache Louie is again happy-go-lucky.
Reminder: Last Day To Buy Christmas Items
While we’re sad to see the Christmas season go, it’s time to begin the new year. As such, all of our Christmas-related items on sale at the W Shop must go. If you have any last minute holiday purchases to make, today is your last chance, as tomorrow, January 5, all of our Christmas W Shop items will no longer be on sale. So don’t delay, and scoop up the last of the Christmas items today! Update: As announced by the Creative Director on our official Twitter feed, the Christmas sale has been extended until the end of the day on Wednesday, January 6. Use the extra time to earn some KinzCash and purchase the Christmas items before they’re gone!
