Notice: Pet Of The Month Loot Bag Issue Fixed
We have an update regarding the status of the Pet Of The Month loot bags for January. Following the new year, there was a issue that affected a small percentage of our members preventing the loot bag from being properly awarded when adopting the Schnauzer, January’s Pet Of The Month. The issue was fixed shortly after the reports began coming in. We are happy to report that those members who did not receive the loot bag when adopting the Schnauzer can now do so. To obtain your loot bag, log into your account, switch to the pet Schnauzer that you adopted this month, and use the “Things To Do” menu to navigate to your room. Once you enter your room, you will receive your Pet Of The Month loot bag. We apologize for any inconvenience. We’ve had a talk with the Koala was who unwilling to allow the Schnauzer to take Pet of The Month honors from it and decided to steal some of the Pet of The Month loot bags. The Koala apologizes to you all, as well. Mustache Louie is again happy-go-lucky.
Reminder: Last Day To Buy Christmas Items
While we’re sad to see the Christmas season go, it’s time to begin the new year. As such, all of our Christmas-related items on sale at the W Shop must go. If you have any last minute holiday purchases to make, today is your last chance, as tomorrow, January 5, all of our Christmas W Shop items will no longer be on sale. So don’t delay, and scoop up the last of the Christmas items today! Update: As announced by the Creative Director on our official Twitter feed, the Christmas sale has been extended until the end of the day on Wednesday, January 6. Use the extra time to earn some KinzCash and purchase the Christmas items before they’re gone!

Whether it’s visiting friends or just hanging out around the house, the Schnauzer knows how to make life fun. In fact, the Schnauzer is so much fun that it’s taken the year’s first Pet of the Month honors as January’s Pet Of The Month! As with all our Pet Of The Month pets, adopting the Schnauzer this month will get you an exclusive Pet of the Month loot bag that is filled with goodies you can’t get anywhere else! You’ll also have the chance to participate in some exclusive Daily Activities as a Pet Of The Month owner, and you’ll get a free download of the Pet Of The Month song! Webkinz Year In Review
As is often the tradition around this time of year, we've taken a look back at all that's happened over the year past, and we thought we'd share our reflections. Here's are some of the highlights that defined Webkinz World, Webkinz Newz, and the Ganz eStore in 2009: The Zumbuddies came to Webkinz World, giving players the ability to visit the beautiful land of Zumwhere. The Caring Valley, where players can plant saplings to help Webkinz Foundation contribute to charitable causes, opened. Deluxe Membership was introduced, giving players another way to stay active in Webkinz World with exclusive items. It was also later expanded to allow the gifting of Deluxe Memberships. Signature Pets, a line of special, more luxurious pets with additional prizes, were launched. Those are just a few of the big stories for the year. 2010 is nearly upon us, and with the new year will come a plethora of new pets. The first pet to ring in the New Year will be the stylin’ Sock Monkey! There’s nothing quite as funky as a classic Sock Monkey! With its Copabanana Split and Puppet Theater, the Sock Monkey is the perfect playmate to ring in the New Year on a light-hearted note. This brand new pet will debut exclusively on the Ganz eStore New Year’s Day, so start 2010 off right with a silly, stylin’ Sock Monkey!

Preview: Duck Crossing, Our New Arena Game
The Webkinz Arcade has received a lot of attention from us recently. Earlier this month, we launched Polarberry Jam and Jumbleberry Fields, two new games for the Arcade. What about the Tournament Arena, where you can play multiplayer games against your friends? We haven’t forgotten about the Arena, and this week, we’re giving you a sneak peek of our newest Arena game, Duck Crossing! Duck Crossing is a strategy game that requires planning and patience. Each player controls a duck, and the goal of the game is to move your duck from one end of the pond to the opposite end. Players take turns moving ducks one space at a time. Players can also spend a turn placing “reeds,” which are walls that the ducks cannot pass through. Strategically placing reeds is the trick to winning. While Christmas Day has come and gone, the sales in Webkinz World continue! There’s a whole bunch of different Christmas-themed items to buy this year that you’ll only be able to buy for a limited time. Well, the charming Cheery Chimney Fireplace will keep your Christmas spirit burning through to the New Year. Or what about a Merry Magic Sleigh Bed, where your Webkinz can dream sweet dreams of opening presents on Christmas Day every night?
