School Council Minutes

Taken by: Stoogles

In Attendance: Salley, Purr-Cilla, Stoogles, Molly

So today there was an emergency meeting of the School Council called about an issue regarding the fall fair.

Molly showed up at school this morning all agitated and said she needed to talk to us. It turns out that Millie had seen one of our posters around Kinzville and got really excited about the fair. She couldn’t wait to find out from Molly about all the cool stuff that would be there. Problem was, when Molly told her, Millie said that some of the rides sounded kind of scary and that she wouldn’t win anything because she wouldn’t be any good at the games.

So Molly asked us if we’d given any thought to what sort of entertainment we were planning for little kids. Purr-cilla piped up and said she knew all along this fair wasn’t being run properly and if she had been president she would have totally planned loads of fun activities for little kids. WHAT??? She has been part of the planning from day one and she has never said a thing about any of that! So she and Salley start arguing about it in the middle of the lounge and Ms. Cowoline comes in to see what the problem is. When Molly explains that there isn’t enough stuff at the fair for ‘Kinz Millie’s age, Ms. Cowoline said that this is fixable and that if we just work together instead of fighting she knows we can work it out.

After that we made a list of ideas that would be fun for little kids. Some of them we had to rule out right away – like Molly’s idea of a Merry-Go-Round – because it would involve more money. And some would take too much time – Salley wanted us to make a giant Snakes and Ladders game on the playground. That WOULD be cool but there is no way we could pull it off by this weekend. Purr-cilla asked Molly what Millie’s favorite activities were and Molly said that she loved coloring and painting. Purr-cilla suggested having a coloring table which would give the little kids something to keep them occupied. Then I said we could have a face painting station – little kids love face paint, right? And that is something we could pull together pretty quickly that wouldn’t be too expensive. Molly said a game would be fun too and I thought maybe a three legged race. Those are always hilarious!

So I guess Ms. Cowoline was right – when we all settle down and discuss things together we CAN make things work.

Having activities for all ages is a good idea because you never know who is going to come! :D I think that they did a good job on deciding what to buy and play. They REALLY need to learn to work together more.

I totally agree! But it sucks….. fall is cold and all (ha ha that rhymes) but there are no such things as Fall fairs in real life! BTW I came up with this you can use it if you want. It’s LIG, and it stands for Life is good! I hope you like it.

Try a Webkinz World fair next time. ‘Cuz then you can show off all the COOL webkinz products. Maybe a ferris wheel for…. WAIT! It could be part of webkinz world annually, like the kinz park, ‘xcept WAY cooler! So ya, a ferris wheel, some booths you could click on and play mini gamess, and earn fair credits, which you could trade in later for an AWESOME prize! and then, you can have a mini roller coatser!
