Ms. Cowoline isn’t just the principal at the Kinzville Academy –she’s also my best friend’s mom. I decided to make her a delicious jar of cookie mix. It’s so easy – and everyone knows, Ms. Cowoline LOVES cookies.

What you need:

1 quart jar with lid, 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 cup oats, 1 cup chocolate chips, ½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup white sugar, gift tag, ribbon, circle of fabric

What you do:

  1. Put the ingredients in the jar, in the order listed above.
  2. On the gift tag, write: “Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix – to make, add ½ cup butter melted, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla extract. Bake at 350 until golden. Enjoy!”
  3. Attach the gift tag with a ribbon.
  4. If you’ve got the kind of jar with a two-piece lid, you can put a piece of fabric in between the two pieces for decoration.
  5. Feel free to add stickers or foam shapes to your jar.
