Fluffington’s Living Room gets a Makeover

Elwin checking in! So Hailey and I were offered a major project for the holidays! Fluffington St. Bernard has asked us to oversee the decorating of his home for the big party he is throwing for his whole family on Christmas day. This is really huge for us. If we can impress Fluffington, he might introduce us to some of his rich, bigwig friends and then who knows how many fabulous design jobs we could get?

The first two rooms that we did were the Games Room (you might have seen that) and his living room. He has a pretty swanky pad here, marble flooring, and rich wooden accents. And a glorious combination of rich colors like deep purples and dazzling gold. Fluffington is anything but understated when it comes to decorating so Hailey and I both know that whatever we do, it has got to be over the top. This is just the kind of challenge we love!

The first thing we did when we went to work on Fluffington’s Christmas themed living room was to remove some of the statuary and sculptures. We wanted a pretty clean slate to add our festive touches. We also pulled out Fluffington’s golden couches and purple wing chairs to make room for some colorful pieces that we knew would be perfect.

We started with a massive tree, just smothered in lights. The Kinzville Center Tree was ideal. We decked a couple of the windows with the festive garlands of the ‘Tis The Season Windows and replaced Fluffington’s furniture with the Rockin’ Red Lounge Chair and Couch. The Dessert First Dining Table added some cheer to our holiday theme, as did our Santakinz Helper Workbench.

On the wall we hung an overstuffed stocking atop the Treats for Santakinz Table and flanked them with two Giant Clydesdale Nutcrackers. Then we replaced Fluffington’s regular clock with a Hickory Clock.

Fluffington and his friends can sing carols around the Holiday Season Piano, and he can entertain afterward in a cozy corner where he and his guests can enjoy hot chocolate and drinks, a Chocolate Fountain and some savory fondue at the toasty Grilltop Table.

The Festive Cheer Cookie Jar was a whimsical touch in the corner, while we knew that the perfect spot for the Santakinz Gift Bag would be right in front of the fireplace.

I sure hope this colorful holiday haven is what Fluffington had in mind for his festive get-together.
