Chapter 5 – Losing the Spirit
“You should’ve told me there was ice on the ground!” Plumpy growled at Wiggles as he helped her up. “Now we have no cookies to give out…all we have is a pile of crumbs. We didn’t spread any cheer and there’s someone out there on Christmas Eve who has no Christmas spirit!”
Wiggles sighed. “Plumpy,” he began, “Let’s just go home and have some dinner. You can’t make everyone happy on Christmas. Your job is to be the advice hippo – not the superhero hippo.” Plumpy stomped her foot.
“Wiggles Q. Pig, I am not going to ignore the fact that someone has lost their Christmas spirit. If I do that, it means I failed to give advice. And Plumpy E. Hippo does not fail.” Plumpy stormed off and left Wiggles standing on the sidewalk.
She stomped all the way through town.
“Merry Christmas, Plumpy!” Webkinz called out. She didn’t hear them. She was too busy trying to find the one Webkinz who lost their Christmas spirit. She made it all the way to the forest. Then she realized how tired she was. She sat down next to a tall tree.
“What a horrible day,” she said, wiping a tear from her eye. “My singing was bad, my cookies crumbled, I yelled at my best friend –and I still haven’t helped the one Webkinz who needs it most. It’s Christmas day tomorrow, and I just don’t feel like celebrating at all.”
Suddenly, a voice came from the other side of the tree trunk. “I know what you mean.”

Oh, Plumpy. I know how you feel </3 But, we can get through this!
