It’s Camp month!

Hi there! It’s me, Roberta. I am really pumped because my parents signed me up for Craft Camp this summer! It should be a lot of fun. We are starting with pottery this week which will be awesome – I mean, what’s the point of doing crafts if you’re not going to get MESSY, right? It’s going to be great because it’s only a morning camp, which means that I will still have my afternoons free to hang out with my friends and with the new baby when it comes along! When my dad and I were signing up for camp we ran into Molly and Millie. It turns out that Millie will be going to day camp this summer and I could tell by the look on Molly’s face that she was kind of relieved about that. Poor Molly. She keeps telling me that she loves Millie and they do have fun sometimes, but that I should really try to set boundaries when the baby starts to get older because otherwise it’s just going to be getting in my stuff all the time. I will try to remember that!

Last summer Booger went away to Space Camp and LOVED it, so this year his family signed him up to Science Camp and Alex is going with him. Alex seems a bit nervous about it but he is really glad that he has someone to go with. I know he wouldn’t have been comfortable going away to camp all by himself. I hope they have fun! (And I hope Booger manages not to blow anything up!)

I know how you feel, Skiddly. Your local library is a good place to start for ideas for free summer fun.I look up online all the botanical gardens & museums near where I live. They all have a free-to-the-public day every month, & my family goes then. Boy & Girl Scouts is one of the best deals going as far as low cost programs, & we have a blast! And there’s always the park.

Wait a minute, when did Booger blow something up? That sounds a little dangerous… I think Molly’s right about the baby, though. One of my friends’ little brother is absolutely horrible. I hope your parents will punish him/her when they’re older and start knowingly doing naughty things, or you’ll wind up with a tiny terror. Have fun at camp, anyway, making pottery sounds fun! ~~O~~SapphireSea~*~*~
