One AWESOME St. Patrick’s Day Hat!

Your pet will look perfectly festive for St. Patrick’s Day!

What You Need:

Toilet paper tube (or 1/3 of a paper towel tube), green paint, green card stock (ideally that matches the paint), black construction paper, yellow construction paper, craft glue, scissors, clear tape, a pencil, your Webkinz pet

What you do:

1.       Using the green card stock and a pencil, trace around the end of the tube. This is the top of the hat.

2.       Cut out the top of the hat.

3.       Using the green card stock and a pencil, trace around the end of the tube. Draw a larger circle around the circle you traced. This will be the brim of the hat. Cut out the smaller circle and put this aside for now.

4.       Paint the tube green and let it dry.

5.       Cut out a narrow rectangle of black construction paper. It should wrap around the tube. This is your hat’s band.

6.       Cut out a buckle from the yellow construction paper.

7.       When the paint is dry, glue on the band and the buckle (in the middle of the band).

8.       Put a thin bead of glue around the top of the tube and stick the top of the hat on.

9.       Wiggle the brim of the hat over the bottom of the tube. Keep it in place with clear tape.

10.   Put the hat on your Webkinz pet’s head! They’re all set for St. Patrick’s Day!
