Kimmy’s Craft: Camp Sign

What you need:

-          Small wooden plank (around 8×12”)

-          12” piece of rope

-          Hot glue gun

-          Lots of small, flexible twigs

-          Small items like rocks, shells, acorns, leaves

-          Paint (a light color is best)

-          Paintbrush

-          Pencil

-          An adult assistant to help you with this craft

What you do:

1. First of all, paint your wooden plank and allow it to dry.

2. Use your pencil to lightly write your name in large letters on the plank as a guide. Have your adult assistant plug in your hot glue gun.

3. Then, one twig at time, use the hot glue gun to stick the twigs over top of your penciled in letters to spell out your name.

4. Use rocks, shells, acorns or leaves to add decorative touches to your sign.

5. When the glue on the front of the sign has completely cooled, turn it over and, using lots of hot glue to make sure it’s secure, affix the rope to the top of the back of the sign for hanging.

6. This personalized sign can be hung on your wall or the front of your bedroom door. It would also be a great clubhouse sign if you wanted to do one with the name of your club on it.
