Wow!!! We had almost 900 entries in our 2017 Pet Design Contest! You guys did an amazing job and made it very, very difficult for us to narrow it down to just ten finalists. Every submission was excellent and we think they would all make great Webkinz pets! But we had to narrow it down to just ten.

Now we want your input. While the final decision rests with the judges at Webkinz, we will take your comments into consideration when making our final choice which will be announced on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017.

When looking at all of the creative, wonderfully executed submissions, we tried to choose finalists that had a unique twist. Sometimes it was a clever idea – like making a dragon out of dragon fruit, or a butterfly’s wings out of Webkinz Magic Ws, a turtle out of a rose, or putting monarch butterfly wings onto a dragon. Sometimes it was a unique new animal we hadn’t seen before – like a Hippocampi or an Orchid Mantis. And sometimes it was just a neat pet that we think our members would love – like a chocolate bunny, a Loch Ness monster, an axolotl, or a Jade Fu dog.

Nine of the following ten pet designers – and our honourable mention – will each receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership. The winner will receive a virtual version of their winning entry, a brand new Pet Design Trophy plus a 1 Year Deluxe Membership.

We wanted to give a shout out to Worldcombiner for their adorable submission. The Farm Fresh Egg was one of our favorite entries. Unfortunately we couldn’t quite figure out how to make it into a Webkinz pet at this point, but who knows – maybe one day!

WEBKINZ GET REAL !!! You NEED to allow 3 winners her !!! WHY I feel is we need 4 but 3 of the elements are here LAND (AXOLOTL) , SEA (HIPPOCAMPI) and AIR (ORCHID MANTIS) because they fly. Only element missing is fire. EVEN SCRIPS the National Spelling Bee admitted there are not always 1 winner !! These are some of the best ideas in a long time they deserve to share the win !!

I’d really love to see multiple winners! But, I don’t know, it seems like a lot of work to make three into Webkinz pets… But if Ganz could and would make it happen, that’d be really cool!
I agree, tinygma and Pokekinz! There should be multiple winners! I would love to own several pets made from these outstanding designs! If Ganz goes “virtual pet”, these designs would be easy to replicate. Plus, Ganz has many talented employees. I have no doubt plushes are doable, as well. As an insect fan, my favorite is the Orchid Mantis, but all the others are fabulous, too! The time and effort, as well as creativity, that went into these designs is astounding! Well done, all! Pokekinz, I wish you luck with your art career! You are an awesome artist! No kidding! :D

I think multiple winners is a great idea. They aren’t going to be turned into a plush, so why not? Besides, I think some of these ideas are better than the usual two webkinz Ganz puts out every month.

I liked the Dragon Fruit and the Red Rose Turtle the best as a whole; but I do think the Orchid Mantis has the sweetest smile.

the Dragon Fruit Dragon, Hippocampi, and Chocolate bunny were some of my personal favorites but if I had to choose only one I would choose the Loch Ness Monster for sure! And the rose turtle was adorable!!

The dragonfruit is fantastic. 2nd would be monarch dragon. 3rd Webkinz W butterfly. They are all great!
I thought about it and looked again and thought about it and decided my number one pick is definitely the Orchid Mantis. Mantis are amazing creatures, so beautiful and elegant as are Orchids. Great Job Poofmon!!! Good Luck! Thant’s my 2 cents, ha ha. Decide wisely y’all! :)
My favorite pets are the Jade Fu Dog by @hazzy, the Red Rose Turtle by @duncannut08, and the HippoCampus by @Pokekinz. Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed because I made over 30 entries, but that’s okay. Congratulations to @Pokekinz, (my friend ::::))))) @ECF, @Poofman, @hazzy, @taydarsauce, @bullseyejingles444, @golubm, @autumn88, @giantturtle, @duncannut08, and @worldcombiner.
