Wow!!! We had almost 900 entries in our 2017 Pet Design Contest! You guys did an amazing job and made it very, very difficult for us to narrow it down to just ten finalists. Every submission was excellent and we think they would all make great Webkinz pets! But we had to narrow it down to just ten.

Now we want your input. While the final decision rests with the judges at Webkinz, we will take your comments into consideration when making our final choice which will be announced on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017.

When looking at all of the creative, wonderfully executed submissions, we tried to choose finalists that had a unique twist. Sometimes it was a clever idea – like making a dragon out of dragon fruit, or a butterfly’s wings out of Webkinz Magic Ws, a turtle out of a rose, or putting monarch butterfly wings onto a dragon. Sometimes it was a unique new animal we hadn’t seen before – like a Hippocampi or an Orchid Mantis. And sometimes it was just a neat pet that we think our members would love – like a chocolate bunny, a Loch Ness monster, an axolotl, or a Jade Fu dog.

Nine of the following ten pet designers – and our honourable mention – will each receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership. The winner will receive a virtual version of their winning entry, a brand new Pet Design Trophy plus a 1 Year Deluxe Membership.

We wanted to give a shout out to Worldcombiner for their adorable submission. The Farm Fresh Egg was one of our favorite entries. Unfortunately we couldn’t quite figure out how to make it into a Webkinz pet at this point, but who knows – maybe one day!

Aww,the dragon fruit is CUTE! I mean like just look at it! The Dragon Fruit is based on Dragon fruit (Heh) But seriously its awesome.I would like something like that to go in webkinz!

I would totally buy a Webkinz Axolotl plush! There aren’t enough axolotl plushes out there, in my opinion. And axolotls are so freakin’ cute! >.<

These are all awesome!!! That farm fresh egg just cracks me up – no pun intended :) I’d love any dragon, sight unseen but I do love the orchid mantis because I had a praying mantis as a pet last summer (it hit my window and lost a leg – I named her/him Ahab!) and they are so smart and so nice – not kidding! Congrats to all you talented folks and all those who took the time to enter, period. I wish we could just have a few pages of random entries – maybe 1 or 2 a weeks? just to see them and admire all the work and time so many put in. Just because you didn’t make the final cut doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate you!

oh man; this is really hard. must be great to be so talented ! but the orchid mantis is really really terrific. really like the axolotl & hippocampi & jade fu dog. i like new animals a lot

I would LOVE to see the Xoltol win, i think it would be a super cute pet and i love that it is so different. I think it would be great because there are a lack of sea type creatures.

I am absolutely in love with the axolotl and the dragon made out of dragon fruit! Both are pets I would buy in a heartbeat! The rose turtle and praying mantis are amazing as well. Congrats, everyone!
They’re all so cute it’s really hard to pick! I love the Mantis the best, though, I think. The monarch dragon and the dragonfruit dragon are awesome too!
