Wow!!! We had almost 900 entries in our 2017 Pet Design Contest! You guys did an amazing job and made it very, very difficult for us to narrow it down to just ten finalists. Every submission was excellent and we think they would all make great Webkinz pets! But we had to narrow it down to just ten.

Now we want your input. While the final decision rests with the judges at Webkinz, we will take your comments into consideration when making our final choice which will be announced on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017.

When looking at all of the creative, wonderfully executed submissions, we tried to choose finalists that had a unique twist. Sometimes it was a clever idea – like making a dragon out of dragon fruit, or a butterfly’s wings out of Webkinz Magic Ws, a turtle out of a rose, or putting monarch butterfly wings onto a dragon. Sometimes it was a unique new animal we hadn’t seen before – like a Hippocampi or an Orchid Mantis. And sometimes it was just a neat pet that we think our members would love – like a chocolate bunny, a Loch Ness monster, an axolotl, or a Jade Fu dog.

Nine of the following ten pet designers – and our honourable mention – will each receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership. The winner will receive a virtual version of their winning entry, a brand new Pet Design Trophy plus a 1 Year Deluxe Membership.

We wanted to give a shout out to Worldcombiner for their adorable submission. The Farm Fresh Egg was one of our favorite entries. Unfortunately we couldn’t quite figure out how to make it into a Webkinz pet at this point, but who knows – maybe one day!

All of these are unique and gorgeous designs.. I am leaning to the chocolate bunny and the Monarch Dragon

Oh wow. All of these designs are awesome! It’s a tough choice but my favorite is the Orchid Mantis.
And yeah, they NEED to make the Farm Fresh Egg some time. I don’t see how it would be any different or harder to make than a googles. Awesome idea!
Hippocampus! Axolti! Chocolate Bunny! I’d love it if the bunny was done in the old style, like the first rabbit/bunny Webkinz made!!!!!

Congratulations and best of luck to all the finalists. My two favorites and the ones I’d love to have for pets are then Orchid Mantis and the Farm Fresh Egg. Just love them both!
Hippocampus One is greaaattt!! I luv it. Its hard to pick,though. But my final choice is Hippocampus. Such great Art and design. It would be so creative and awesome to go into webkinz. I mean,who wouldn’t agree? I was gonna go with dragon fruit… But Hippocampus took the CAKE!

Wow, I can’t believe my little egg got an honorable mention! :D I’m thankful to know that so many people appreciate it! If the amazing Webkinz designers can ever figure out a way to create a pet like this one sometime in the future, I’m sure we’ll all enjoy it! I would like to give a shout out to the rest of my family for making this little egg a possibility: my father for the idea, my mother for the name, and my brother for the color scheme. They all worked hard to help me on this adventure. On another note, the designs chosen for the finalists are absolutely stunning! Especially Pokekinz’s Hippocampus, Poofmon’s Orchid Mantis, and taydarsauce’s Axolotl! All three of those are such unique pets, and I wish all of them, including the other finalists, could be winners! This decision is going to be a though one for the judges! Congratulations again to all of the finalists and for all of us who didn’t make it into the top ten, keep on trying, because the only way to fail is to not try at all!

Congratulations WorldCombiner. My hope is that Webkinz will consider your FFEgg design for next year’s Lil’ Kinz Easter eStore trio. I think they could use the Lil’ Chick base for the movement.
Or maybe the lil duckling base, if they wanted the egg to “wobble” around more. ;-)
