Wow!!! We had almost 900 entries in our 2017 Pet Design Contest! You guys did an amazing job and made it very, very difficult for us to narrow it down to just ten finalists. Every submission was excellent and we think they would all make great Webkinz pets! But we had to narrow it down to just ten.

Now we want your input. While the final decision rests with the judges at Webkinz, we will take your comments into consideration when making our final choice which will be announced on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017.

When looking at all of the creative, wonderfully executed submissions, we tried to choose finalists that had a unique twist. Sometimes it was a clever idea – like making a dragon out of dragon fruit, or a butterfly’s wings out of Webkinz Magic Ws, a turtle out of a rose, or putting monarch butterfly wings onto a dragon. Sometimes it was a unique new animal we hadn’t seen before – like a Hippocampi or an Orchid Mantis. And sometimes it was just a neat pet that we think our members would love – like a chocolate bunny, a Loch Ness monster, an axolotl, or a Jade Fu dog.

Nine of the following ten pet designers – and our honourable mention – will each receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership. The winner will receive a virtual version of their winning entry, a brand new Pet Design Trophy plus a 1 Year Deluxe Membership.

We wanted to give a shout out to Worldcombiner for their adorable submission. The Farm Fresh Egg was one of our favorite entries. Unfortunately we couldn’t quite figure out how to make it into a Webkinz pet at this point, but who knows – maybe one day!

THANKS!!! :D Yeah, I’m so excited!! I too like the Axolotl and Orchid Mantis. ^-^ It’s cool, because poofmon got the colors from the Orchid Bed (something like that… It’s a bed that looks like and orchid :P), so the pet would actually blend into the bed. Cuz disguises. XD
The butterfly is mine!
They are all amazing, so hard to choose, but I love the Hippocampi and Orchard Mantis and would definitely buy them. The Farm Fresh Egg is so sweet and deserves its special mention.

WOW, incredible thought went into all of the selected contestants! I would have to say that the one that intrigues me the most is the Orchid Mantis. With all views it shows what a unique pet this could be and how much Poofman thinks outside the box. I do adore the Farm Fresh egg and I have to wonder if you couldn’t just model it after the Yeti or another of the upright animals. I like the addition of the wings on the dragon for the monarch dragon and I really like the colors on the Dragon Fruit dragon. But the unique animals; The Axolotl and the hippocampus have my vote. They are entirely new creations and show how Webkinz have expanded and diversified.
Thanks! Yeah, I did accidentally put “Hippocampi” instead of “Hippocamp” or “Hippocampus”.. I mean, I wrote that on purpose, but I confused myself, so I thought “Hippocampi” wasn’t the plural… But then I found out it was…. Eheh, it’s a little embarrassing. ^^;
