Wow!!! We had almost 900 entries in our 2017 Pet Design Contest! You guys did an amazing job and made it very, very difficult for us to narrow it down to just ten finalists. Every submission was excellent and we think they would all make great Webkinz pets! But we had to narrow it down to just ten.

Now we want your input. While the final decision rests with the judges at Webkinz, we will take your comments into consideration when making our final choice which will be announced on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017.

When looking at all of the creative, wonderfully executed submissions, we tried to choose finalists that had a unique twist. Sometimes it was a clever idea – like making a dragon out of dragon fruit, or a butterfly’s wings out of Webkinz Magic Ws, a turtle out of a rose, or putting monarch butterfly wings onto a dragon. Sometimes it was a unique new animal we hadn’t seen before – like a Hippocampi or an Orchid Mantis. And sometimes it was just a neat pet that we think our members would love – like a chocolate bunny, a Loch Ness monster, an axolotl, or a Jade Fu dog.

Nine of the following ten pet designers – and our honourable mention – will each receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership. The winner will receive a virtual version of their winning entry, a brand new Pet Design Trophy plus a 1 Year Deluxe Membership.

The hippocampus is soo cute i like its hair and tail, the mantis is just spot on gorgeous i love the colors, the jade fu dog is a great idea its soo detailed, the axoltol is such a cute idea i love the psi and psf, the choco bunny is adorable perfect for easter, i fell in love the first time i saw the dragon fruit dragon, i love the butterfly dragon it has such pretty wings, the loch ness monster is so funny its adorable, the rose turtle is beautiful i love roses and turtles its the perfect combo, and the egg is soo cute i love it too bad it cant be made. Webkinz please make everyone into pets. They all deserve to win. Then all of these contestants will be happy, the voters will be happy because everyone can get the pet they like everyone will be happy. I cant choose. i love them all.:D

Thanks Megalodon! Yeah… I was hoping they’d do a contest like this sometime, but with the winner becoming a plush pet. I have a lot more ideas for pets I’d like to be plushes.
I would’ve entered but I completely forgot about this.Plus,I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have won anyways so :/ But I really like the Hippocampus :D I hope that one wins!

I would only buy the red rose turtle if they made it into a webkinz. I have a question : do they make the winner’s pet into a plush too because if not I will never be able to buy one since i don’t have estore points. :(

All of these designs are so ADORABLE! My personal favorites would definitely be the Hippocampus and the Loch Ness Monster! I really hope that one of those wins!
