Wow!!! We had almost 900 entries in our 2017 Pet Design Contest! You guys did an amazing job and made it very, very difficult for us to narrow it down to just ten finalists. Every submission was excellent and we think they would all make great Webkinz pets! But we had to narrow it down to just ten.

Now we want your input. While the final decision rests with the judges at Webkinz, we will take your comments into consideration when making our final choice which will be announced on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017.

When looking at all of the creative, wonderfully executed submissions, we tried to choose finalists that had a unique twist. Sometimes it was a clever idea – like making a dragon out of dragon fruit, or a butterfly’s wings out of Webkinz Magic Ws, a turtle out of a rose, or putting monarch butterfly wings onto a dragon. Sometimes it was a unique new animal we hadn’t seen before – like a Hippocampi or an Orchid Mantis. And sometimes it was just a neat pet that we think our members would love – like a chocolate bunny, a Loch Ness monster, an axolotl, or a Jade Fu dog.

Nine of the following ten pet designers – and our honourable mention – will each receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership. The winner will receive a virtual version of their winning entry, a brand new Pet Design Trophy plus a 1 Year Deluxe Membership.

Ahh, Pokekinz, you did it, your hippocamp made the top ten!!! :D Congratulations!! That would be so cool if it won!! :D I think my favorite designs are the hippocamp and the red rose turtle. The Loch Ness monster is also pretty adorable though, haha. ;) And all the other designs in the top ten are great, too! Good luck to everyone! And to those who weren’t in the top ten, don’t give up! I looked at many of the designs in the Share Center, and I’m sure that if Ganz narrowed it down to all those that would make a good Webkinz pet there would be hundreds of finalists. I don’t know how they narrowed it down to just ten!

Bravo to everyone chosen, you all made some amazing drawings. I don’t know how the Webkinz design team could narrow it down to just these. I don’t know how I will choose a favorite, they are so wonderful to look at. First choice is Hippocampi by Pokekinz because I like the color and the webbing between the toes is a nice detail. Second is Jade Fu Dog by hazy because we don’t have anything like this in WW. Third is Loch Ness Monster by giant turtle but only if you made it bigger than most Webkinz because it should be & I like the idea of Nessie in WW. Good luck to everyone.

My favorite is the Monarch Dragon! That’s a whole new concept in precious stone estore pet. I’d love to see those glittery wings animated and the face is so sweet. It would also wear clothes well and that’s always a plus. Great job, Autumn88!

I GIVE UP! So long trying to win….. so much time wasted everytime…. and never in it… What’s so wrong with mine that I never get in T_T IT’S NOT RIGHT!!! I’M ALWAYS A LOSER T_T
Aw, GraceRynae, don’t give up! I know that feeling… I’ve been on here on webkinz newz for almost 3 years, entering almost every contest I see, but I have yet to win anything. Sometimes I get pretty disappointed, and there have been times where I’ve thought about giving up, but you have to keep trying! I know it’s discouraging when you don’t win, but the best thing to do is to enter in the next contest. You may not have won this time, but there’s always a possibility that you will the next!
I’m just not good enough for Webkinz….. None of my stuff EVER gets in…. no rooms, no designs, no ideas….. I’m done wasting my time when I’m never EVER going to get anything I make on….. I’m taking my time and art to game that appreciates my work….. I’m not wasting my time making Webkinz wonderful ideas that they don’t even want……
Please don’t give up! I know your feeling, for a long time I felt like my room designs weren’t good enough to ever win a contest/be featured in a room design video. It’s very discouraging but if you give up then you’ll never know how it feels to finally surpass many hurdles along the way. I don’t blame you one bit for being disappointed, I’ll admit I was a bit disappointed at first to not see one of my own designs as a finalist even though I worked very hard on mine. But I know that someday I can do it. With room designs it took ages for me to get featured but i knew I’d never be featured if I didn’t keep sending them in. Same goes here, there’s always going to be tons of contests you don’t win, but keep trying! If you don’t try you can’t win. So please keep trying, GraceRynae! <3
The axolotl and the hippocampi are my favorites! I also like the dragon fruit, but I really want the hippocampi to win!

OMG these are great! I really, really like the Hippocampi, the Orchid Mantis, the axolotl, the jade fu dog and the red rose turtle. When i saw them in the share center, I thought they’d be perfect, since we have nothing like them yet! That farm fresh egg though… I could just see a little unhatched egg running around kinzville park! Great job guys!
