Wow! What a fantastic response to our pet design contest! We had over 3,000 entries and as always it was tricky narrowing the list down. Because it was so difficult to choose, in honor of Webkinz’ 15th anniversary this year, we decided to select 15 finalists!
Now we want to hear what you think! The winning pet will be sold in Ganz eStore starting on Webkinz Day, April 29, 2020.
As always, we look at concepts that we believe would be a great fit for Webkinz World. We are not judging the entries based on artistic talent, but on ideas that we think would make great pets. Please keep that in mind when you make your selection. Whichever pet we select, the Webkinz art department will work their magic to make it fit the Webkinz style.
While the final decision is up to the Webkinz creative department, we will take your input in consideration when making our final choice. Check out the 15 finalists and let us know in the comments below which one is YOUR favorite.

The winner will have their design turned into a real virtual pet in Webkinz World and they will receive a code for their pet when it is added to Webkinz World. They will also receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership to Webkinz, a virtual Pet Design Trophy, and all ten finalists will each receive a 6 pack of 2020 Winterfest Cookies, courtesy of Ganz eStore.
I really really like the Webkinz pangolin and tapir because I feel we need more different species of animals. I think the cotton candy capybara is my favorite but I’d like to see a normal capybara along the way sometime

Oh my word – I WANT THAT TAPIR! But all of them are terrific. The Pangolin, Icelandic Horse, and Patched Giraffe are adorable and I’d love to have those too! Bubble Googles – how clever is that? Also the Stained Glass Turtle and Cactus Cat – wonderful and well thought out designs. I love the Cattledog art with all the pet extras – great job. Are they seriously going to narrow this lot down to ONE? I don’t see how. Nice work everyone!
They’re all so beautiful! I can barely narrow it down to top three, but they would have to be: Australian Cattledog, Elkhound, and Tanuki! Definitely also vibing with the Bubble Googles and Cactus Cat too though!
Definitely the Cactus Cat. I absolutely love the design with the little flowers and the shade of green is perfect. I also love cats and am always looking for a new Webkinz cat, especially the unique ones. Why can’t they just make them all? At least at some point.
Baaaaa-byyyyyy sloth, doo, doo, da-doo, doo, doo! Actually these are all fantastic and the artists should each feel very proud of all of their hard work and for being selected for this honor. I tend to favor realistically colored webbies, so my favorites would have to be the pangolin (WW NEEDS a pangolin!), tapir, tanuki (so interesting!), Iclandic horse (long have I wanted a shaggy-maned pony in WW!), the greater kudu (the horns alone are an artistic masterpiece!), the elkhound (just like a keeshond but less fluffy!) and the baby sloth (I would name him Sid!) If I DID go with a fantasy pet, it would be the bubble googles because of the whole cool transparency thing! Good luck to all of the finalists!
