Wow! What a fantastic response to our pet design contest! We had over 3,000 entries and as always it was tricky narrowing the list down. Because it was so difficult to choose, in honor of Webkinz’ 15th anniversary this year, we decided to select 15 finalists!
Now we want to hear what you think! The winning pet will be sold in Ganz eStore starting on Webkinz Day, April 29, 2020.
As always, we look at concepts that we believe would be a great fit for Webkinz World. We are not judging the entries based on artistic talent, but on ideas that we think would make great pets. Please keep that in mind when you make your selection. Whichever pet we select, the Webkinz art department will work their magic to make it fit the Webkinz style.
While the final decision is up to the Webkinz creative department, we will take your input in consideration when making our final choice. Check out the 15 finalists and let us know in the comments below which one is YOUR favorite.

The winner will have their design turned into a real virtual pet in Webkinz World and they will receive a code for their pet when it is added to Webkinz World. They will also receive a 1 Month Deluxe Membership to Webkinz, a virtual Pet Design Trophy, and all ten finalists will each receive a 6 pack of 2020 Winterfest Cookies, courtesy of Ganz eStore.

Disappointed I did not make it into the finalists, but there is always next time! I like the bubble googles, cactus cat, and the greater kudu. Good luck and congratulations to everyone though!

If we ever needed confirmation of the artistic talent of people (young and old) playing webkinz, the pet designs featured here (and all those shared) reveal how much creativity and ingenuity the players really have. I can’t even imagine how the judges are going to choose just one. I’m disappointed that none of the Koalas made the cut but was really happy to see that people are thinking about what’s happening to them. :’-( So, I’m going with the pangolin because it is another endangered animal, wrongly hunted for its supposed medical qualities. Finally, I really think Ganz should offer a designer job to lorelilee22: All of her designs, including the Icelandic Horse featured above, were breathtakingly beautiful.
That is so amazingly kind of you! I have been a Webkinz fan for years and this was my first submit any designs. I’m looking forward to doing more, for sure! What a cool job to work for Ganz! That would be a dream job!
