A look back at 20 years of login gifts!
It all began on April 29, 2006, when players first logged in to celebrate the very first Webkinz Day.
Created to mark the launch of Webkinz World, Webkinz Day quickly became a yearly tradition in Kinzville. From the very beginning, players could look forward to special login gifts, exciting surprises, and a chance to spin the Superwheel for even more prizes.
As the celebration grew, so did the excitement. In 2008 and 2009, retailers even joined in by hosting special Webkinz Day extravaganzas, bringing the celebration into the real world with fun activities for the Webkinz community.
Over the years, Webkinz Day has become one of the most anticipated events of the year. Each April 29, players log in to collect a brand-new, exclusive gift.

I started playing in 2008 would like to have all the boxes for each year they are so pretty. Looking forward to adopting my plush on Webkinz Day on both my Webkinz Classic and Webkinz Next accounts. I have purchased several of the plush toys recently that haven’t been adopted yet which are included in this promotion. I can’t wait I’m trying to think of some good names for this special day. Will be a very busy day adopting new pet to my families, hopefully I will have time to get them all done. This is the best promotion ever! I love the prizes that can be earned just for adopting a pet, especially the exclusive Webkinz Evolution Bridge! Thank You Ganz! for this fabulous offer.

I, actually, think that everyone who adopts a pet on Webkinz Day should get a special prize. Maybe skip the e-store points as you have to buy those. (Don’t know anything about Diamonds as don’t play Next.) But, what is the problem with giving all the pet adoptions a special Chair, some Medallions, and some extra Wheel of Wow Spins?? Little children, who the game is supposed to be for, would be ECSTATIC and be begging their parents to get them a pet, even a Virtual Pet from the E-Store!! Think about this!!
@pepsi4324 – I agree with you! Webkinz Day SHOULD be special for ALL PLAYERS, with or without adding a new pet! I’m not driving miles and miles just to find a new special Webkinz Pet, that is found ONLY in certain stores and certain cities! Over at least 10 years, I’ve spent a LOT of real money on Webkinz pets and eStore items. Plus, I have a number of unused pet codes that I could use on Webkinz Day, but…no…got to have a “special” pet to adopt for Webkinz Day in order to get the special Webkinz Day gift or prize. Oh, well….it is what it is. :-/
There’s no place near me that sells Webkinz plush. Too bad for me, but I am glad that someone will get the goodies:)
I logged on my first Webkinz (Golden Retriever sans W) IN JULY THAT YEAR??? I was here within the first 3 months???? AHHHHH THAT IS COOL
Will these items be tradeable with the special ones?
I didn’t start playing until ’09, and it took me a few years to catch on to the fact that you have to collect items on the day, they were not automatically added to your account. Then it took me more time to catch on to items being retired, so I still need football and soccer items. I’m hoping that there will be new football and soccer themes developed. Maybe next winter they can work on curling items!
I really hope you award the people who already adopted these pets the prizes too because this is unfair.
People who already adopted the webkinz will not be able to get the extra prizes unless they adopt on webkinz day. It would be nice if everyone who adopted one of the new plush got the extra prizes instead of having to adopt on webkinz day.
