Hey guys, Michael Webkinz here with a special room design post!
I love getting room designs from all of you, so I was happy when I saw that Nattie had sent me 6 great designs that actually told the classic story of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. As Christmas is just around the corner, I thought that today would be the perfect time to share them with all of you. I have included the captions that Nattie sent with each screenshot so, sit back, relax… and enjoy “A Christmas Carol”… as told by Nattie!
A Christmas Carol, Part One… “The Counting House in London, 1843”
Christmas Eve is cold and bleak and we are at Scrooge and Marley’s Counting house, Marley has now been dead seven years. Ebenezer Scrooge is cold hearted and says Christmas is a humbug. Scrooge declines his nephew Fred’s Christmas dinner invitation, but allows his clerk Bob Cratchit to have Christmas Day off saying that it is a poor excuse picking a man’s pocket every 25th of December:
A Christmas Carol, Part Two… “Scrooge’s bedroom and the ghost of Marley”
Scrooge is visited by his dead partner Marley’s ghost, who is cursed to wander the earth dragging heavy chains due to his life of selfishness and greed. He tells Scrooge that to avoid this fate, Scrooge will be visited by three spirits or ghosts, (the ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and the the Ghost of Christmas Yet to come) and that Scrooge will need to listen to them and to change his ways:
A Christmas Carol, Part three… “The ghost of Christmas Past”
The ghost of Christmas Past takes Scrooge around to happier times when Scrooge was kinder to others. He had a lonely childhood, but was close to his younger sister Fan. Here he is enjoying a Christmas party with his kind hearted boss, Mr Fezziwig. People are dancing and talking and having a good time including Ebenezer Scrooge:
A Christmas Carol, Part Four… “The Ghost of Christmas Present”.
The ghost of Christmas Present shows Scrooge all of London celebrating including the impoverished family of Bob Cratchit, his clerk. Bob’s son, Tiny Tim, is full of happiness despite being very seriously ill and the Cratchit family enjoys Christmas despite being poor:
A Christmas Carol, Part Five… “The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come”.
The last ghost shows Scrooge the funeral of a wretched man that no one attended. There is only pleasure not sadness in this man’s death. They go to the neglected grave of this man and it bears the name Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge then pledges to the ghost that he will change his miserly ways:
A Christmas Carol, Part Six… “Scrooge on Christmas morning”
Scrooge awakens in the morning and he hasn’t missed Christmas this year. He has repented, and he now has joy in his heart. He sends a prize turkey to the Crachit’s, gives Bob Crachit a raise, and spends the day with his nephew Fred’s family. He is a forever changed man:
The End

Thank you Inkblot. I love Dickens, also!
I like Scrooges bedroom. Where do you get that wallpaper?
Natalie13, it is called Dark Wizard wallpaper, from the eStore theme of the same name. Not sure if it is available now or just around Halloween in the eStore.
WOW! Nattie, whoever you are, you did such a great job! I espeically like the way you did the graveyard in the fifth room and the costumes you chose for your pets (unless, this was real in webkinz world, but it is kinda a bit confusing since a webkin can’t dye (I know how to spell it the actual way, but I spelled it the way I did just in case they’re are younger children), and come to think of it, how can there be a ghost in webkinz world?)
Thank you very much for your comments. Just a ghost costume from Halloween. It was fun figuring out what my pets should wear for the story. :)
THIS. IS. AMAZING!!! Wow, great job, Nattie! So much thought went into each room, and it really tells the story well.
Thank you so much! It was fun.
Again, a great big thank you to Michael for sharing my rooms. I hope that I did not miss thanking anyone for taking the time to make a comment, and I appreciate all of them. I apologize if I did miss anyone. From the words of Charles Dickens “The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!” Good lessons…. and I hope that no one has a Bah-Humbug Christmas!
Your rooms are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
