A New Angle on Toy Chase

Did you know? The Toy Chase in Webkinz Next can be played from two perspectives.

The default Camera Mode offers a wider field of view from a bird’s eye perspective. From this angle, players may be able to see every toy ball that falls as they play.

However, if players find it difficult to locate toy balls, they can choose to change Camera Modes, therby shifting their view to ground level where the balls will appear larger.

To change your Camera Mode, visit the settings menu and toggle the “Camera Mode” switch. This setting is only available in Kinzville.

You have plenty of time to try playing the Toy Chase in both Camera Modes. The Toy Chase is on in Webkinz Next until December 31, 2023. Once you’ve collected 20 balls, trade them in for a randomly selected toy.

Collect up to 50 balls a day!

I like the normal mode better then the camera mode because it’s harder for me to get the falling toys on camera mode I only use that one for when it falls behind buildings and other things that are hard to get them behind.

I learned this last year. When the balls would hide behind the buildings and fountain.

use default because of motion sickness, might try zoom to find “lost” ones. And, YES, I would really like to be able to choose the toy you get. I have gotten one yeti and 2 plush cockers, so yay.

I prefer default, but once I’ve collected everything I can see I go into zoom mode for ones I may have missed. I can’t play on that mode for long because the spinning motions when my pet turns bother me.

new to this. If you have 100 in your “bank” does it not drop any more balls until you redeem and sign out/in again? Also do the balls drop in a smaller quantity as you get closer to the daily limit? I prefer the wide angle view, but have found that you need the close up view to find them all – especially those by the edges and in between the buildings. Thanks!

It’s not designed to stop if you have 100 banked, but it will only drop the number you need to closer to you get to the 50. Sometimes they roll out of sight, so it’s worth logging out and back in to re-trigger the drop.

I like to start with zoomed out bird’s eye view, but once the balls drop, I switch to the ground level. It makes it easier to see when the balls drop too close to a building. I really want the horse toy but haven’t gotten it so far.

I used both modes – one allows you to see more area but then camera mode is helpful to find the ones close to buildings.

Lol nope, sorry but I will stick with the default camera mode. I tried it the new way and wasn’t fond of it, especially when I went in shops and such. Note aside: I really wish someone or a bunch of someone’s would put an end to this business of trading the balls in for a randomly, game chosen toy :(. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’d much rather prefer to chose a toy for my pets of my choosing, not a random, algorithm one :(.
