Thank you for your generosity! :) Out of curiosity, why don’t these codes work on Macs? I assume it’s a tech-related issue?
It’s complicated, but, because all Apple apps have to be approved by Apple, they can decide which features are or are not allows in apps. One feature which they decided is not allowed is the use of “promo codes” to unlock content, Presumably this rule exists because Apple just has to collect a percentage of any in-app-purchases and they are concerned developers might circumvent the fees by using promo codes. Anyways, in short, it’s not technical, Apple just won’t allow it.
Yeah but if Apple “wont allow it” then WHY can I enter codes on iOS?? Which IS made by Apple. :-|

That rule may not apply to iOS, only MacOS. I’m not 100% positive. Also, Apple’s developer rules are very sporadically enforced, so they may not have enforced it on the iOS app yet. Alternatively, it could be a glitch, or a “glitch”, on Ganz’s part that it is still on iOS.
