I have to honestly say I’m disappointed. These are a very unoriginal, imitative style. I prefer the old styles of Webkinz plush.

These look like every run-of-the-mill off-brand of cheap stuffies I see in craft stores. I thought they were gonna make new plushes for Webkinz Classic. :(

That unicorn looks like it has seen some things.

These ended up being exactly as how I predicted. I predicted that the new plush would go the beanie boo route. I had hoped not and that Ganz would stick to being original and creative, but I had a strong feeling they would just follow the crowd and be sort of beanie boo rip offs. Don’t get me wrong, some of the beanie boos are cute, but most of them I don’t really like because I’ve never been a fan of the gigantic eyes and head and the teeny tiny body that most plushes seem to be doing now. If they had a body to match the head proportions more, I would enjoy them more. I think the golden retriever plush is pretty cute, but I really don’t like that weird, out of place paw. And the unicorn just looks…off. I do think it’s neat you added codes for both the new webkinz and classic! I still think the classic avatars looks pretty weird, but it’s definitely the thought that counts! Also, I figured Ganz would be needing the money, but $30? Back in the day, I could get a signature for that price! $30 dollars seems like a ton to pay, and unless you lower the price, I don’t see a lot of parents or plush collectors paying that much for these. It’s sad, but I don’t see these plushes saving webkinz, especially if they remain at that hefty $30 dollar price tag. People will just go with the cheaper beanie boos that came first and Ganz sort of just copied the design from. :/

These new plush are rather expensive compared to the original ones. Am not a fan of these…as others said look too much like beanie babies etc. This may be the last year I will be on this site…..started out 16 years ago for the kids and when they grew up or lost interest I kept their accounts going …now I think I have lost all interest in webkinz and their new site does not appeal to me at all sadly. Sorry..guess the up side will be the saving of lots of money!

I agree these new plushies aren’t anything super original looking, but I do find them cute, and I’m excited about the idea of having two codes. But the price…OUCH, I can’t personally justify paying that much for a small plush toy. As much as I’d love some new webkinz plush, I’m going to pass on these.

Yeah, no thanks. I totally agree that they are just expensive Beanie Boos. I’ve never really liked Beanie Boos anyways.

  8. sonicblue says:

No thanks. They don’t look like real animals and aren’t as cute as the originals.

I will not be buying these. Maybe I’ll buy one so I can make a video on it? But more then likely, I’ll take it to goodwill or give it to one of the younger kids right after. These have none of the uniqueness, charm, or appeal that the og plushes did. They look like every other beanie boo rip off I see at the dollar tree. I had Hope’s the plushes would safe webkinz next buuuut… well, I’m just grateful that theres an abundance of first generation plushes for me to focus on collecting instead. It’s just too bad I’ll never get the excitement of seeing a cool new plush release.

I agree … I can’t believe the feeling of buying an ORIGINAL webkinz plushie is gone. How exciting it was to untie the tag and immediately go to the adoption centre, pick out a name and add a new member to your family. I feel so disappointed :(

Their eyes make them look like beanie babies which is why I stopped collecting beanie babies. :( Pittiesrule
