The rare Aztec Theme has been exclusively found in the Curio Shop for many years, but that all comes to an end on March 14th, 2023 (midnight, EST).
This amazing ancient room theme will be retired, becoming a part of Webkinz history! If you haven’t collected all the pieces to this theme yet, after March 14th, you’ll need to visit the Trading Room at the Webkinz Classic Clubhouse (available only on the desktop app) to find someone willing to part with these precious artifacts!
NOTE: The Aztec items sold by the Ganz eStore and the exclusive Ancient Aztec Stone Statue will NOT be retired on March 15th.
Starting on March 15, the Fun to Be Young theme will be added to the pool or rare items in the Webkinz Classic Curio Shop.

I’m saddened to see this. However, that said, I’ve acquired a few pieces over the years of the Aztec theme but, sadly, I’ve only found them in Artie’s Shop, only seen a handful of pieces and now, after playing from darn near the beginning of the game, I’ll never find all the pieces. I know over the years I’ve never seen all the pieces in the Estore. :(

I love this theme–I have most of it. Sad it’s retiring, but I understand.
OH NO!! First the Egyptian and now the Aztec. I guess the Ancient Civilization will be the next to go. And then the Persian (not that I will miss that one terribly much since it is so much more expensive than the other exclusive themes). Before we know it, there won’t be any Curio Shop themes at all. I hope this notice means we can expect to find Aztec items in the Curio Shop over the next few weeks so we can try to finish our rooms. I really need the stone chiseled sofa. A friend has been trying to get turquoise dining chairs for the Mexican restaurant she is building. She was lucky enough to get a few tables from other friends, but no one has any chairs. It would be nice if there were a schedule for what hour rare items will be in the Curio Shop since it is impossible to be on Webkinz 24 hours a day. Hopefully some Aztec items will be challenge prizes in the future.
I’m with you – I hope Arte puts a lot of Aztec items into the Curio Shop between now and then. Now that I know the theme is retiring, there are a few pieces (like the bed) I’d like to make sure I have in my collection. It’s been so long since a rare theme has retired that I almost forgot it happened. I can’t WAIT to see what theme replaces it, though!!!
Austenshire There was a Kooky Scentist theme that was the first rare theme to retire in 2010 and then the Egyptian Theme was the second in 2012. It’s a shock it took this long to retire a rare theme. Hope another one comes in exchange of this theme retiring.

Will the daily rare be weighted at all so the aztec theme is more likely to show up until then? I read in an interview from a few years back that the curio shop runs on an algorithm so I don’t know if that can be effected or not
Wow!!!! After all these years, this theme is retiring, huh? I never would’ve guessed any of the older themes would even get retired! I guess that means I gotta hold onto my prized Lost City Dresser. Once this retires, I sure hope we get a new theme to take its place! But it better be good. And Webkinz “inflation” better not be applied to a new theme, either, if we get one. It’s difficult enough getting wish tokens, and rare themes are already expensive as-is. I sure hope not to see 100,000 kinzcash items :T
FoxesRule612 I get you on the the big money saying and to think the 40,000 Colossal Movie Screen is a non-rare theme but part of the Movie Manic theme.
I’m really going to miss it!!! I Hope a new rare theme is coming! :)
