Hi there – it’s me Laurabeard. I’m so excited because my parents told me that we’re going on a vacation! Isn’t that cool? They won’t tell me where we’re going – they said it’s a surprise! They told me to pack lots of shorts and tees, my bathing suit, and a few warm clothes and rainjacket – just in case. That sounds a lot like going back to camp! At first I thought we were probably going sailing on Dogbeard’s ship, the SS Pugsley. That’s how we like to spend a lot of our holidays. We all love the water. But Dogbeard’s been away on a trip with his crew – they got a lead on a stash of hidden treasure in the tropics.
I’m going to miss seeing my friends while I’m away with my parents, but it’s kind of neat having a mysterious destination! I’ll let you know where we end up!
Maybe Florida or the beach. Do something to surprise them back.
