Hey there Checkers champs! The Checkers Challenge on Webkinz Classic starts TODAY– Monday, August 5th, and players who complete the challenge by Sunday, August 25th, will win some cool prizes!
But don’t leave this challenge until the last minute… some tasks will take time to complete.
Here’s how to play: Starting TODAY– Monday, August 5th, look for the Checkers Challenge icon in your pet’s room. It will be displayed along the left side of the room (Webkinz Classic desktop app only):
Click on the icon to review your tasks. There are 3 tasks you’ll need to complete by midnight, August 5th (EST) to earn all the prizes:
- Win 4 games of Checkers at the Tournament Arena
- Make 25 Wishes playing Wishing Well 2 at the Arcade
- Spend 200 KinzCash at the WShop
Complete all the tasks before time runs out and you’ll win an in-room Checkers game, along with a NEW Checkers Throne!

Same here about the daily activities. Wondering if it’s a mistake and hope not to be banned for clicking on them. Because it did ask on the one dart game when I clicked it off – if wanted to use the rest of the darts. The other dart game logged me out after I clicked out before ALL the many darts were used.
I am also commenting on the glitches, which I haven’t actually logged in to see, but saw some stuff about elsewhere this morning. Out of precaution, I’ve just decided not to log in today, because I don’t even know what events are supposed to be there and which ones aren’t (e.g. maybe we were supposed to get Token Balloon Darts today as an all-day event, with a normal number of darts instead, but I can’t tell for sure with all the other things that definitely aren’t supposed to be there), so I guess I’ll start working on this Checkers Challenge later this week, since tomorrow I won’t have time to be on Webkinz. I’d definitely tell anyone seeing this first who hasn’t logged in yet to be careful, and don’t just click down the line! Regular dailies are safe, and I’d at least think the hourly afternoon activities are, but the others are all questionable until deemed otherwise.
When will the Newz login be fixed? I have had such a hard time logging on for the past few days, and it either says, “code not valid” or “login will start from the beginning.”

Just keep on trying. Took me six tries yesterday but eventually let me log in.
I just discovered that Webkinz Classic is a little WACKY today! :-) I was right in the middle of doing one of the Daily Activities and got the dreaded message that Webkinz was down/closed, etc. Goodness…there are been so many glitches lately. Hope they will be able to fix things quickly. Hope we’ll be allowed to keep any Super Wheel prizes we won today. :-)
Am looking forward to getting this chair since neither one of my Deluxe accounts won the blue one on the Wheel of Deluxe when it was there. Very disappointed. Lately, my Deluxe accounts haven’t been winning anything good. And, they both keep getting the same prize every day, day after day, and they are items I already have or I get the dreaded KinzCash. Yes, I play every day and spin the Wheel of Deluxe only to be disappointed. :(
What is going on with Webkinz tonight? I can log in but when I go to today’s activities it tells me it cannot connect. Anyone else having problems?
I am having the same issue, I keep getting disconnected.
There’s a lot of glitches on the activity page, including duplicate events from months past that shouldn’t be there, and apparently, ballon darts with way more darts than there should be. It’s a holiday in Canada where Ganz is, too, so their customer support is closed, which unfortunately means it’s unlikely to get fixed before the end of today.
Webkinz wanted to let you know that there is a REALLY strange glitch on Webkinz classic when you go to daily actives. You can get the player appreciation gift the blue sparkle dress again and spin the super wheel with the same prizes as it was last time as well as do token balloon darts but you have 50 darts ??? I am not sure if this is a mistake and was put on classic by accident or what?
Off topic (and someone already posted on the subreddit) but does anyone know what’s up with today’s activities and why there’s so many duplicates of events?? It’s not deluxe day, bobcat day, colorblock kitty POTM day, player appreciation day, or anything??? A lot of people have been clicking these (including myself BY ACCIDENT) so PLEASE do not ban anyone. It just appears to be really messed up. Thanks.
