Here’s a recipe for one of the delicious dishes that I will be making for Fluffington’s guests on Christmas day.

These simple truffles – or as I like to call them ‘Fluffles’ – are much easier to make than the real thing, but just as delicious!

What you need:

-          1 cup chocolate chips

-          4 tablespoons butter

-          4 tablespoons icing sugar

-          1/2 cup plain cake crumbs

-          Garnishes: chopped nuts, grated coconut, icing sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate vermicelli

-          An adult assistant to help you with this recipe

What you do:

Have your adult assistant melt butter and chocolate chips slowly over a double boiler. Mix well and transfer to a bowl. Using a sieve, sift icing sugar into bowl. Add cake crumbs and mix well.

While you allow your mixture to cool, spread your garnishes out on separate plates. When the chocolate mix has cooled, roll it into small balls about a teaspoonful.

Trying not to handle them too much (they will start to melt!) roll each ball in one of the garnishes.

I just know Fluffington and his guests are going to fall for these Fluffles!

I’m telling you- oreo truffles are the best! Ganz could you please shw us all a oreo truffles recipe? I know you smash the oreos….. But after that you put some kind of cream. Well, take my word for it that they are good! (I also like chocolate but the reason why I am suggesting this is because I cannot eat peanuts, or really any nuts for that matter… I am allergic.
Add me! (only if you want to) my username is oldwooffie

I would love to make these, but I have a couple questions…
Icing sugar? Is this the same as confectioners sugar or powdered sugar?
What are cake crumbs? Do you bake a cake and crumble it up or do you buy them? Never heard of them! Thanks for your help.

Anything chocolate is absolutely yummalicious to me!! I think, though, that using a double boiler to melt the chocolate chips is a big giant hassle. I always melt chocolate chips in a coffee cup or soup bowl with a handle in the microwave. If you sprinkle them with just a touch of water, they melt so easily. Don’t put even a teaspoon in on this one, though, as it will change the amount of liquid which will change this recipe too much, I think. Just do that, put the margarine in at the same time. One thing to know, though, is that you only microwave the chips for about 30 seconds & then stir, even if they don’t look melted. Trust me. Just keep it down to 30 seconds or less at a time & stir each time, or else the chocolate chips burn. It should turn out great & be a lot less messy. My mom likes that!
