Here’s a recipe for one of the delicious dishes that I will be making for Fluffington’s guests on Christmas day.
These simple truffles – or as I like to call them ‘Fluffles’ – are much easier to make than the real thing, but just as delicious!
What you need:
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons icing sugar
- 1/2 cup plain cake crumbs
- Garnishes: chopped nuts, grated coconut, icing sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate vermicelli
- An adult assistant to help you with this recipe
What you do:
Have your adult assistant melt butter and chocolate chips slowly over a double boiler. Mix well and transfer to a bowl. Using a sieve, sift icing sugar into bowl. Add cake crumbs and mix well.
While you allow your mixture to cool, spread your garnishes out on separate plates. When the chocolate mix has cooled, roll it into small balls about a teaspoonful.
Trying not to handle them too much (they will start to melt!) roll each ball in one of the garnishes.
I just know Fluffington and his guests are going to fall for these Fluffles!
Wow! Those look very good! I’ll have to inform my mom about this recipe. Luckily, I’m not allergic to any sorts of foods. That’s unfortunate for the people who are – there’s some good tasting food out there! Well, I kind of wish I was allergic to chocolate sometimes… I eat way too much of it! Anywho, thanks for the recipe Chef Gazpacho!
They look a bit strange but they sound tasty! I luv chocolate! ^w^
