When you grow crops on your Farmer’s Plot, there’s a chance some of them will grow into Competition Crops.
Place these crops in your home and watch them grow into awesome decorations! Or, take them to the Farmer’s Market and submit them into the Crop Contest.
Winners of the crop contest are rewarded with collectible ribbons.

I’ve never won one ribbon
The best that I have earned so far is third place and I think it comes down to luck. The time that I entered was on a day when there was a break between seasons and I managed to win a ribbon with a decently large crop. I only think that I won that day because quite of people were not playing that day.
I didn’t know there was different colored ribbons for season! I figured they were just blue, red, and green like what’s shown at the farmer’s market. I’m lucky enough to have a Spring 2nd place ribbon.
Does anyone know if the otter will be on sale for world otter day tomorrow?
I’m not sure, but if it will be on sale, I think there will be an announcement in the afternoon EST or the next day.
I haven’t won even 1 lol.
For some reason my Next isn’t working. It keeps saying “Connection to server lost. Reconnecting”. Then it tells me “Error: Cannot reach the game server”. But I have good internet (everything else on my laptop works), and I have the recent Next update so I am not sure what is happening. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Never got one, no matter how hard I tried. Is there any way to make them grow?
Would love some hints from winner’s of ribbons on how to increase chances of getting a ribbon. I have lots of competition crops saved but am reluctant to waste them.
You mostly need to just get lucky based on what the other players are entering in the contest versus what you enter. One thing that I do is check the weights of my competition crops against the ribbon winners of the day. If they are not even close, I enter them so I can get the 50 KC and not have them sitting in my dock. I only hold on to the veggies that could be a true contender for a ribbon. If I’m feeling lucky I will enter one of those. I only ever won a third place ribbon once. I was shocked. Good luck to you!

I don’t think I could win this. When I see who is currently in each place, their crops are way bigger than mine could hope to be, haha!
