Wow! We had over 750 entries in our Companion Pet design contest! We invited you to design pets who would make as good a companion to an existing pet as the new Tiger Lily Kitten is to the fan-designed Tiger Lily Pup!
We had a hard time narrowing down the list but after much discussion we are pleased to announce the following 10 finalists.
While the Creative Team will have the final decision on which of these finalists will go on to be made into a virtual Webkinz pet that will be available at Ganz eStore later this year, we need your input to help us decide!
Please let us know in the comments which is YOUR favorite! The winner will be announced on the evening of June 28 – that’s Summer Sensation in Webkinz World!
All of the finalists are great, but the Monarch Butterfly is by far my favorite!! I hope it wins because I think the most people would buy it. First, it makes a stellar companion to the caterpillar. It also is very unique. There are not many butterflies and no ‘real’ versions on Webkinz. Also, Monarchs are the king of all butterflies… here’s hoping!
All of these designs are fantastic, congratulation to all the finalists and good luck! My favorite pet design companion would be Monarch Butterfly, Daisy Cow and White Cosmic Wolf. :}

These are all wonderful, and I wouldn’t be disappointed to see any of them win! But I must say the cat lover in me is voting for the Northern Trails Caracal hehe.
the wolf, raccoon, butterfly, fawn and pekingese have all got my attention. maybe the caracal but the rest are kinda meh

No, your idea was not m’eh, not by any means! It isn’t the picture, it’s the presentation. A lot of the hand drawn ones had real merit! There was also a golden wolf in there hand drawn by a user and I really would have loved to have seen it made into a Kinz. The creative team was looking for companions and said ‘any media’ to make them. Some of us just colored and incorporated from existing; but making a pet from scratch takes a lot of talent.
I like the Ice Raccoon the best followed closely by the Cosmic Wolf! They are all great congrats to the finalists!

Wow! These are all incredible designs, and any of them are worthy of winning, I would say! =D Congrats to all the finalists! And to the Webkinz team: you have my respect. I don’t know how you managed to choose 10 finalists out of over 750 entries! :o Anyway, as much as I love all of these, if I had to choose my favorites, I think they’d be the Northern Trails Caracal, Zen Pekingese, and Monarch Butterfly. :) Good luck to all the finalists, though–Webkinz World will have gained another wonderful virtual no matter who wins! ^-^
I can’t believe that they are able to narrow it down to just 10! Did you know that the original contest, the Design a Dog contest, had over 6000 entries?!? I have no idea how they narrowed that down! And I’m glad you like my Pekingese! :D You’re so sweet, moonie ^-^
I know, right? I’d never be able to do that! It’s hard enough for me to pick a few favorites out of 10, but to choose 10 out of 750… Oh my gosh, and really?? That’s crazy that the Design a Dog contest had over 6,000 entries! :0 How can they even begin to choose with that many entries?! I would definitely be overwhelmed if that job were up to me XD Aw, and of course, CuteHeart! Your Pekingese is adorable, and a really neat idea, I’d say! ^-^ I’m really glad that you’re one of the finalists; you definitely deserve it! :D Aw, and thanks! =) (Oh, and by the way, I’m sorry that I never responded to your entries on the forums! Exactly! I don’t know how they do it! Yep – I looked back at all the previous pet design contests and saw that the Design a Dog contest had 6000+ entries! Oh, definitely – I’d never be able to narrow it down to 1000, let alone 10! Aww, thanks :) (It’s totally okay, moonie! Of all of your submissions, Cuteheart, my favorite is the Toasted Marshmallow Poodle, I gave it 10!
