Persephone, Webkinz World’s most fashionable Host, is throwing a special event in honor of Webkinz Day!
You’re invited to participate in Persephone’s Design A Dog Contest! There’s a black and white Webkinz puppy that needs a makeover! Submit your own design and, if you get chosen by Persephone and her Webkinz team, your design will be turned into a virtual Webkinz Pet!
It’s easy to participate! Just follow these five easy steps…

3. Scan or photograph your drawing.
4. Upload it to the Design A Dog Contest Gallery on the on the GanzWorld Share Center any time between Monday March 24th and Friday April 25th!
5. Cross your fingers until Webkinz Day (April 29th) to see if your design won!
The grand prize winner will receive a 1-Year Deluxe Membership AND their Design will be turned into a real Webkinz virtual pet, which the Winner will have added to his or her Webkinz World account!
Remember,
- You can enter as many designs as you want- the more submissions the merrier!
- Contestants HAVE to upload their work to the Design A Dog Gallery on the GanzWorld Share Center. Never uploaded to the ShareCenter before? Don’t worry! It’s easy. Just watch this video to see how it’s done!
- You can use any kind of art supplies that you want! Want to use markers, pencil crayons, crayons, it doesn’t matter- this contest’s Fabulous Level? Unlimited!
- You don’t NEED to include ideas for this pet’s adoption gifts (PSI & PSF), but feel free to draw them out if you want!
- We can’t accept submissions with company logos, or sports team emblems.
- Please make sure you save your images as a jpg, gif, or png.
Rumor has it that Persephone will announce the winner on Webkinz Day!

I’m having trouble downloading this. It just shows me a preview. Am I supposed to copy it and paste it in Open Office and then print? Or is it just not downloading? Really confused :(
Try right clicking the preview and saving-as the image.

Any way you want, as long as you upload it to the Share Center when you’re done.
Hey Matt, just a few things to clear up here (cause I’ll enter myself) Does the “dog” entry have to be a simple design or can it be advanced? Because I’m kinda in between advanced and simple. Due to the E-Store pets, they are advanced yet simple. Also, do we have to name the pet? Like for example of already made pets: Halloween puppy, Peace puppy, Texty puppy (I think?) and so on. Just making sure if these things cause I have many ideas but I have to pick the right one (even if we can enter as many as we want.)
It doesn’t have to be a simple pattern pet, no. Like you said, the virtual pets are usually pretty more spectacular since there doesn’t need to be a plush version, so you can base some extra coolness off some of those if you want. Naming isn’t necessary, no, but it does help put a nice context to your pet. ;)
But you could make plush versions of the estore pets, right?
Well, in theory yeah, but that’s just not how Ganz does things (I’m not really the authority to make those decisions, haha). But also, eStore pets are typically more animated and a bit more fantasy-like than that of regular plush pets, so I suppose that is also a reason. Besides, it also allows for pets to be accessible by everyone, since many people can’t get to retail locations that have specific pets.
The winner is picked by Ganz, not by number of votes on the share center.
I have a question: why do you let other members vote if Ganz picks the winner?
It’s just legacy of the Share Center. We also use the Share Center because that’s the quickest and easiest way to put all the images in one single location for review – plus it let’s everyone see the entries.

I cant upload my puppy with his PSI and the PSF, because the picture is VERY small, when I upload it … how can I show you it? :/ I uploaded two pictures now … the first one with PSI/PSF is how I said very small and the second one has normal size, but its without the special things :(
Ok, great, this answered my question that I had too, if the winner was picked by Ganz or the votes on SC. Will there be like 5 picked and then we get to vote? Or just Ganz gets to pick?
Ganz will be picking the winner specifically. It has to go through a big process (creative approval, legal approval, art approval, etc.) before it can be created.
Sounds like a long complicated process!
How do the people in charge of the contest know which account to send the prizes to?
