Here’s how to play: Look for the Bathtub Battles Trophy Challenge icon on your Webkinz account. It will be displayed along the left side of the screen (web only):
Click on the icon to review your tasks. There are 3 tasks you’ll need to complete by midnight, December 31st (EST) to earn the Dogbeard’s Bathtub Battles Trophy:
- Win 7 Games of Dogbeard’s Bathtub Battles at the Tournament Arena
- Spin the Wheel of Wow 3 Times
- Buy your pet a Buried Treasure Toy Box from the W-Shop

I love this game. I’m almost there, I only need to win one more. Does anyone happen to know what the flare is? I use it but it doesn’t seem to do anything?
KarenaJ, If you use the Flare and happen to hit you opponents ship It will hi-light the whole ship and will make a hit for the square that you used the flare on. Some wait to use the Flare right next to a current hit to see if a ship is going in a certain direction. It is the fastest replenished Special Power and I use it and the others as soon as they light up. They will continue to replenish as long as your ship with that power is not sunk. The flare is a special one square power up that will hit that space with a cannonball if anything is there, and create a line of highlighted spaces showing where the rest of that ship is. If it doesn’t hit anything, it will just mark off that square with an X.
If you hit a ship with the flare it shows the length of the ship.
I have wondered that myself.
I’m not sure either, so I don’t use it. Hopefully someone will explain it well.
The flare is simply a locator. If it highlights something in yellow you then have to go back and fire on those spots.

I still think it would be totally rad if we could add ol’ Dogbeard to our friends lists, so we could play Dogbeard’s bathtub battles against the master himself. Argh!
