I’m very happy I saved my Wheel of Wow extra spin coupons. Finished the challenge in about 45 minutes by playing Ms. Birdy, Daisy Doe, Dr. Quack, and Tabby Von Meow.

I’m not very good at Dogbeard’s Bathtub Battles, but I will try to get a trophy for all my accounts. I’m glad that they give us 6 days for this.

oh how I love these trophy challenges–thanks for the idea & follow-thru and for making them possible (maybe a little too easy, but it makes us for the few we’ll never be able to conquer in the arcade!!! :) best, k.

Love the New Trophy, but why is it covering a 2×2 square space when it is just a 1×1 Trophy? We can’t place it on Pedestals or on counters. Please fix during next update. Thanks Webkinz World for always adding Fun New Items. trexjt2013

I don’t know how to play Dogbeard’s Bathtub Battles and I can’t find any instructions in the Tournament Arena and the game does not appear at all in the Arcade so how do I learn how to play the game??

    • BeezKneez says:

Do you remember the old board game, Battleship, as in “ You sunk my Battleship!” – same game as Bathtub Battles

    • trexjt2013 says:

Hey nanabanana, The game is only in Tournament Arena. Go there then Scroll 7 games down. Click on game. Once there it is easiest to play a Host for a win. To the right should be a list of friends playing and the Hosts. Left click on one of the boxes with a host to invite a Host to play. Then your game will pop-up. Once the game starts hit Place Random for ships to be placed on the board Randomly (keep clicking Random button for different placements), or you can click on each individual ship and drag to the board for individual placement hit the little circular arrows for ship rotation and green check mark when ship is where you want it. When it is your turn to launch cannon scroll your mouse over the board. When your X is where you want it just click your mouse to fire. As the game progresses you will see on the right the boxes for different special fire powers light up (hint: each ship has one of these powers and once the ship is sank you no longer have those powers). When lit up click on the power and place where you want on the board. Then click on the mouse. It’s actually pretty simple and I hope I haven’t confused you. Just go and practice, you will get the hang of it. I do suggest though that you play with the Host as you practice. It’s much simpler. Hope this helps. Your friend trexjt2013

Sorry I forgot to say click “Invite Friend” button after clicking Host to play not “Find Opponent” or you will just get another player not the Host.

Thanks trexjt2013. I’ve played a few times and have managed to win at least once by happy accident. Your instructions helped me to better understand the game. I was not at all aware of the special fire powers for each ship. Thanks for helping me to better understand how to play this game. I wasn’t even going to try for the trophy but now that I understand the game better, I will try to complete the challenge. Great help!

Hey BH1464, Glad to help! I believe Michael Webkinz has done a Live Playing Presentation on a past post that could help as well. Just need to hit the Newz Blog button in the top left of this page then type in the Category box Bogbeards Bathtub Battles and search for previous posts. It may not be on the first page show so just click down the page tab for more pages. It helped me upon seeing it for the first time. Happy Battles, Good Luck on the Trophy!!! Your Friend, trexjt2013

BH1464, Actually just pulled it up on the Newz Blog and re-watched. It is a Battle between Matt and Michael, and I think they were both a little rusty on the special weapon aspect. First you don’t need to have a ship revealed to use your Flare weapon just place it on a X and fire you may get lucky and reveal a total ship. Second, use your Special Weapons as soon as they light up if you can because once you do they will continue to recharge as long as that ship is not sank. Third, and I think I saw Michael using this strategy more than Matt catty your X’s out not side by side, this gives you greater range and less wasted shot. Hope this helps. Friends-trexjt2013

Hi nanabanana! I don’t know if you have ever played the board game ‘Battleship’, but Dogbeard’s Bathtub Battles is just like that. First you place each of your 5 ships on your grid, trying to be strategic about where you position them. Then you each take turns firing at spaces on your opponents grid to try to sink their ships before they sink yours. As you play the game, different bonus shots become unlocked that can better help you locate and sink your opponent’s ships. I hope this helps. Good luck!

      • Beckinz8 says:

P.S. Dogbeard’s Bathtub Battles has to be played in the Tournament Arena only, against another opponent. If you don’t have a friend available and willing to play a game, you can always challenge a host. I like to play against Nafaria Fairy, but any host will do. If you find one too difficult, switch to another – Alyssa Fairy, Amanda Panda, Arte Fact, Cowabelle, Daisy Doe, Doug the Dog, Dr. Quack, Fiona Feathers, Fred Rover, Mr. Moo, Ms. Birdy, Ms. Cowoline, PJ Collie, Sheldon Turtle, Sophie Stockwell, Tabby Von Meow. Best of luck nanabanana, and all of you other trophy hunters!

This is a tournament game. It’s intended for two players and you can choose NPC Hosts to play against. The game is similar to ‘Sink My Battleship.’ Your 5 Ships are place randomly on a grid, same with your opponents. One ship is 5 squares long, another is 4 squares long, two are 3 squares and the smallest takes only two spaces. The object of the game is to guess where your opponent has hidden their ships on the grid by selecting a cannon and lobbing cannonballs in to the grid. Playing the Hosts gives you an advantage because they can’t use the specialized cannons as they come available. You have at your disposal, always, a single shot cannon. As you use up shots, your arsenal grows, you have a 2X2 square cannon shot, a 3X3 square parrot sneak peek, and a HUGE cannon that peppers about a 5X6 rectangle with random shots. Every failed shot shows up as an X in the grid and can no longer be shot at, so it keeps track of your shots. If you hit one of the ships’ grids, it turns red (or if you discover by parrot, it turns yellow until you hit it with a cannon shot. Parrot only exposes, does no damage) the object of the game is to smash all your opponents ship before they smash yours.

I forgot to mention FIRST pick Two-Player games in the Tournament Arena.

    • Junglesuefarry says:

You just place your ships anywhere on your board that you would to and then your opponent has to find yours and you have to find theirs. The first to find all 5 wins! Hope this helps:)
