There’s a brand new Christmas theme coming to Webkinz Next based on the designs of prettybluefish and it’s going to be sendable back to Classic. That means it’s time to start saving up KinzCash on Webkinz Next!
Not sure where to start? Here are some ideas!
Farming:
W Shop
Growing crops cost 50 KinzCash in the W Shop and each crop can be harvested at least 10 times. The harvested crop sells for 10 KinzCash, so it’ll take 5 harvests to make your original investment back, and the next 5 harvests are profit.
Farmer’s Market
The crops that are available at the W Shop can be purchased at a discount at the Seed Shop, or you can purchase one of the unique seeds available there.
Farmer Will buys three different crops each time he visits and it could be the harvested crops of ANY growing crop. Farmer Will’s worst price is still better than the W Shop, so it’s worth keeping stores of harvested crops to sell to Farmer Will.
The Farmer’s Plot is a special plot that you get when you first visit the Farmer’s Market. Ground crops planted in this Farmer’s Plot may work a little differently from crops planted elsewhere. You might 1.) Harvest more than one crop from the same plant, 2.) Get more than 10 harvests from the same plant, or 3.) Harvest a competition crop.
Competition crops are special decorative versions of harvested crops. You can decorate with them, but you can also enter them at the Farmer’s Market crop competition. You get 10 KinzCash for entering and there’s a chance you could win a ribbon. There’s no other way to sell a Competition crop, so you’ll need to enter them if you don’t want them. If you get the ribbon, you can sell those for 138 KinzCash.
The best way to maximize your output from a Farmer’s Plot is to make sure you plant something in all 21 spots. Make sure you have Advanced Editing OFF for this, and then your crops will “snap to grid” when you drag them in.
Crafting and Selling
After your growing crops expire, you receive dirt material in your dock, which can be used to make recipes on the Crafting Table. You can sell the dirt directly, but making something with it first will make you more KinzCash. For example, it will take 9 pieces of soil to make 3 pieces of clay, which can be turned into 1 clay cup. You could earn 9 KinzCash from selling the material, or you could earn 25 KinzCash from selling the cup.
You can also collect materials by collecting the Material Pick Pack from the vending machine outside of the Curio Shop in Kinzville. Individual materials can be sold, but crafted items sell for more. When you complete the Home Away from Home challenge, you’ll get a Maple Tree that awards 1 Hardwood per day. Look for the Hardware Shelf recipe in the Wish Factory to unlock this recipe — you can sell the recipe for 20 KinzCash rather than sell the materials for 14.
If you’re gem mining and earn slag, use them to craft at the Gem Crafting Table. The Wrought Iron Wall Sconce uses 30 KinzCash worth of slag, but can be sold for 75 KinzCash.

Collecting and Selling Prizes
In addition to the daily material box, you can get a Chocolate Cappuccino from the Cafe, a Diamond Cookie from the Showroom and a Candy from the Arcade. These can be sold for KinzCash. When you go to the Curio Shop and use the Fortune Teller, you might get KinzCash, a prize, or a Wish Token. Prizes can be sold, and you can redeem your Wish Tokens for prizes that can be sold.
The floating Magic W usually awards food, which you can sell, but may also award small furniture items. Be sure to spin the Wheel of WOW each day — you can sell any prizes you don’t want. Play Zingoz Bingoz — it takes a few days to win, but they have large KinzCash payouts. Keep an eye open for the bonus Wheel of WOW events — these happen on even days of the month. If you see the notice but the wheel isn’t there, log out and back in. When you spin the Wheel of WOW 20 times, you’ll get a bonus prize, which you can sell.
You can save your Diamonds to add a pet to your account, which will also award KinzCash. Or you can spend them to go on Vacation and go fishing — you can sell the fish you catch right away for KinzCash.
When you mine for Gems, you can also sell whatever gem you collect. While you’re there, keep your eye open for the Pirate’s Bounty activity — it’s available three days a week, and every account has its own schedule. Solving the puzzle will award a prize (that you can sell) or KinzCash.
Earning school ribbons at the Kinzville Academy lets you redeem them for prizes (that you can sell) or you can spend them on the Negotiation skill for your pet. Maxing your pet on the Negotiation skill will increase how much KinzCash you get for selling things at the W Shop, selling gems at the Curio Shop, and selling crops to Farmer Will. You only need one pet with this skill, but make sure you always use that pet when selling to get the bonuses. After you max out your pet, you can redeem the ribbons to max out your Mining skill, which will give you a second attempt to mine each day, which means another chance to sell to Amanda Panda. The other two skills don’t improve your KinzCash payout much, so you can skip them and redeem for prizes to sell.
Playing Games
In the Arcade, be sure to play the Game of the Day to earn the bonus, which is anywhere from 25-50%. Turn in your Arcade ticket either for Play Tokens so you can keep playing after your free plays are up, or redeem them for stuff that you can sell.
Free players get 3 free players per day and full members get 6. As long as you’re earning Arcade tickets, you can keep turning them in for more play tokens. If you’re a free player and save up enough free Diamonds, you can add a pet to your account for free to get 6 free plays instead of 3. (Adopting pets also gives you 500 KinzCash).

I have earned over a million KC by selling what I don’t want. I have never traded. As a matter of fact, I sold the trade catalog as soon as I got it. If I can’t sell something, I put it in a ‘spare’ room. It looks a lot like my attic at home. I have plenty of KC for whenever we have to spend to complete a challenge. The only food I purchase is when there’s a request for a specific food item, otherwise they get a healthy apple when they let me know they’re hungry. I DO keep a supply of apples. (makes it easier to locate, as it begins with “A”) That’s it…basically how I earn and keep KC. Also, I keep garden veggies in a fridge and sell them back to the farmer. I only play games when it’s required, never for the specific reason to gain more KC. There’s so much to do, I don’t really have time for games.
This is so helpful and appreciated. I need to log all this info somewhere so I can refer to it. Yes I am neglecting to crafting and selling feature to earn kinzcash. I still want my unlimited farming back or maybe cap us at 1000 crops instead of 500. But this does help.
I appreciate all of these tips! Just a red flag though! “For example, it will take 9 pieces of soil to make 3 pieces of clay, which can be turned into 1 clay cup. You could earn 9 KinzCash from selling the material, or you could earn 25 KinzCash from selling the cup.” 9 times 3 is 27! That means you will be wasting your time and losing 2 kinz cash per cup. Sell your three soil for 9 each, and make 27 kinz cash! Still, it is a great idea to sell soil if you don’t need to build! I would check and make sure that the other built items are worth the kinzcash from the materials put in. Make sure you are actually making a profit :)
My bad! I realize now you’re turning soil to clay, clay to cups. My apologies!
My mind is spinning trying to remember and understand all of this info. Classic is Defiantly a lot easier to play and earn Kinz cash. Maybe after you play on next Several times it must get easier because so many people like it. I set up a Next account to be able to get the items that we can only get by transferring back and forth. It was complicated and I accidently logged myself out. Logging back in took me forever trying to find the way back. I’m defiantly a Classic player forever. I will work on Next whenever there is an item to move around but it won’t be an everyday playing like Classic.
Also, I’m curious why adopting pets in next only gives 500 kc when you get 2000 kc on classic? The pets on next are a lot more expensive than classic. Is it because you can technically save for a free one? Also, does sparking babies give you kinz cash?
I am a classic player forever as well!
These tips are great! Would you ever consider implementing extra spins at Zingoz Bingoz in Next like there is in Classic? Maybe a coupon that can be won or a bonus opportunity? It takes an awfully long time to get a Bingoz, I’m talking weeks stuck on the same card, and having a possibility to get extra spins would be really helpful!
Thank you, Sally! This is super helpful. I’ve started playing Next to get the Glampire theme to send to Classic, and have enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Earning Kinzcash was a struggle in the beginning though, until my investment in farming started paying off! I’m really looking forward to the new Christmas theme. And I’ll be putting the rest of these tips into practice so that I can save enough money for it! Thank you so much :)
I’m so excited to hear about the new Christmas theme- and that best of all it’s possible to send the items back to our Classic account!
I earn a lot of KinzCash on Next by playing Jumbleberry Blast. The more I played the better I became, and I now average about 125 KC per game. It adds up quickly.
Thank you Sally for the “heads up” on the new Christmas theme. I have been feeling blue ever since the election. Can you give us an idea of when the new theme will be coming. I feel like “I need a little Christmas right this every moment” and the new theme will help. I’m even putting up my own Christmas tree early this year. Thanks for being there for us Sally!!!
Most likely the beginning of December!
I can’t wait for the Christmas items to come out. It can’t come soon enough.
Thank you Sally Webkinz!! You always write such informative, detailed articles, and we appreciate it! I noticed that you used a lot of math. People are going to perk up when they realize that they might be learning stuff while having fun. See everyone? It IS possible. Thanks to you, I discovered that the biggest area where I am letting KC slip through my fingers is Crafting and Selling. I will have to do mass crafting days to use my raw materials to get the most bang for my buck. I’m already using all of the other suggestions with fairly good success. My favorite is switching to my pet with level 5 negotiation skill to do all the wheeling and dealing to get the best resale prices. Is there any chance jobs/an employment center might be on the horizon for Next? I hope so! I enjoy doing jobs in Classic, and it earns some extra KC.
Wheeling and dealign? Does the negotiation skill affect the wheel prizes? I have bought several skill tickets at the academy, but I have no idea what to do with them exactly.
No, Negotiation only affects selling items. At the highest level, that includes selling to the W Shop, to the Curio Shop (selling gems) and to Farmer Will at the Farmer’s Market
Hi @rachelgirl192! It took me a while to understand the skill cards. Hopefully reading this article will help! Make sure you pick one pet at first and stick with it to keep applying that skill until you reach the max level to get the most perks for that skill. If the article doesn’t help, just ask and I will try to break it down for you. Good luck! https://webkinznewz.ganzworld.com/announcements/how-do-i-use-skill-cards/
