I’m joined here by Kinzville’s final candidate, Sheldon, to speak to him about his recent platform announcement here on Webkinz Newz. If you recall, Sheldon gave a rather short speech stating that should he be elected as Mayor, he will simply make no changes to Kinzville! This has created quite a split between our readers so hopefully we can dive deeper into what Sheldon is planning. Ella: Hello Sheldon, thanks for joining me here today. Sheldon: No prob, sorry for showing up late. Ella: Right … Well, it seems that many people are a little confused about your platform. Are you actually intending to leave Kinzville unchanged? Some are saying that’s a lazy move. Sheldon: Lazy? Nah, that’s just enjoying life. If I get this Mayor thing, I’ll just show Kinzville that riding waves are more fun when you’re not paddling against ‘em. Ella: And by that you mean… leaving Kinzville just the way it is? Sheldon: For sure. Though we totally gotta have a big party, ya know. It’ll be sweeeet. Ella: In the recent polling you seem to be gaining some support. Are you worried that it might be a close race? Sheldon: Nah. If you get all bothered by things like this it totally ruins your chill mood. Ella: Thanks for joining us in the studio today, Sheldon, and all the best with your campaign! Sheldon: Cool, I’ll catch you later, Ella.

I wonder if Daisy’s getting desperate for votes now that her poll numbers went down again. LOL! After hitting an all-time high (about 23-27%) about a few weeks ago, they went down to an all-time low (4%).
Okay, here are the poll results as of this moment this morning: 8.92% – Daisy Doe, 13.95% – Tabby Von Meow, 16.94% – Ms. Cowoline, 5.53% – Dex Dangerous, 41.91% – Cowabelle, 24.57% – Sheldon.
Too bad Daisy’s went up from 4% to 8%, but she’s still losing. I’m just sad that Tabby’s went down so much.
Yay Sheldon! If it weren’t for my loyalty to Dex, then Sheldon would be a definite possibility! He seems so cool and stress-free, which is just what some people need. You’re a cool guy, Sheldon. I agree. Sheldon’s just pretty laid back. He’s not changing himself for votes or anything like that, he’s just showing everyone who he is. It’s funny because when he first ran, I was pretty disappointed that he wasn’t opening up Vacation Island or bringing back Debbie Dragon, but I still wouldn’t mind it if he won. Over the last few weeks though, I started to like Sheldon more and more. If some of my other favorites don’t win, I wouldn’t mind seeing Sheldon be mayor. It would be nice if I could be as laid back as him during this election. ;)

Yeah, I am glad that he’s doing better in the polls. Last time I checked, which was a week or two ago, he was in 4th place, but now he must be getting really close! Yea! ;)

Thanks ArtMagician! On the login page, I noticed everyone was smiling, except for Ms. Cowoline. I really thought it was funny, especially considering she was right next to Daisy. Also, for the hashtags, I just randomly came up with those. I just put down what I thought each candidate should put for a hashtag. I keep laughing whenever I re-read them! Also, thanks for enjoying my made-up hashtags! I wonder if there will ever be a hashtag contest…….. Well, if there ever is, I better start coming up with a list of hashtags! ;)

I have only been on webkinz for a little over a year and have never been deluxe so I have no idea what vacation island is like! If he does win I’m also sure he will have a great party!:) #It’sAllGood
It all is good, balletbear5M. Vacation Island is pretty cool, it has the Island Wheel you can spin once a day like the Wheel of Wow, Coral Cove where your pet can eat yummy recipe foods & they sometimes have a party in there, decorations suddenly appear & there are door prizes. I once won a cool animated palm tree that drops coconuts. There is also the Spa, where your pets can get a health & happiness boost, Sheldon’s Souvenier Shack where you can buy cool stuff that’s unavailable anywhere else, the Island Post Office so you can send your friends vacation postcards, & a couple of Island themed games. I think it would be great if Sheldon won & opened up Vacation Island to all players for awhile for his Victory Party! #It’sAllGood!

Well when he puts it in this light he makes it look good but think of it this way, Why would we want a mayor who doesn’t want kinzville to keep getting better? i understand he thinks it is at it’s best right now but how we keep kinzville running and keep getting people to come on is by keeping it new and fresh! none of the canidates really completely speak to what i am looking for. but how good can you get i guess? i would not be against Sheldon becoming mayor….. but i think we need someone with perspective (and how much perspective can a turtle who spends all day in a little shack have?). This is what I think i am going to do (i still might change my mind remember that) right now i still think it is the smartest to vote for who you believe will change Webkinz for the better! and i don’t mean the kind of change that takes everything away! i mean the kind of change as in New and Improved! we all have to come to the conclusion that Webkinz could use a Little updating (I don’t want to see anything dissapear for good!) i think the best 3 choices you could have to fit that are #ChangerightMeow #MoovingForward and #JoinTheAdventure! i am kind of surprised at myself for leaning towards #ChangeRightMoew at the moment. Um, great points animelover7644, really, but Tabby isn’t promising more shops…I DON’T want her to become mayor really…I only really get on once a day, so her taking away money from our pay isn’t helping me at all, as I won’t at this rate be doing more jobs a day. She didn’t clearly state she was going to add more shops (i might have mistaken it a little bit) but here is where i might have gotten that idea from….. “Daisy’s an ambitious deer with big ideas and as a fellow business owner, I respect that. But we need more competing businesses in this town – not fewer – which is exactly what will happen if Daisy wins and removes Mr. Moo’s cart from the Park!” (quoted from Tabby Von Meows announcement speech) sorry i didn’t read this right before I posted my comment (my insanely long comment) I must have just remembered her saying she was for more businesses then less. So i must have been assuming that she would at least encourage people to open more shops…. sorry again for the confusion and thanks for reading my (insanely) long comment!
also did anyone see that Dex gained at least 4% in the polls today? idk i checked yesterday and he was at 1.7 (or something like that) and now he is at 5.19! i know it like makes only the smallest change and it doesn’t really matter but it goes to show you that your vote counts! if only on one of the days Dex Fans vote he would have 1/3 of the votes! same with Daisy or Sheldon or any of the other candidates! i just found it interesting and weird! also i forgot to mention up there that if you REALLY don’t want Daisy or Sheldon to win i would vote for Cowabelle! because she is in the lead and she has the chance! but if you don’t like Cowabelle vote for Ms. Cowoline or Tabby! remember this is just my opinion vote for who you think would make kinzville a better place!

I noticed that the polls have skyrocketed for each candidate right after their interview.

Sheldon Turtle seems a little too “relaxed” for this job. I mean, if he doesn’t change Webkinz world, how can we get better? I’ve been a member for awhile, and I feel that Deluxe members are the only ones getting a good benefit from Webkinz. I miss the old days when I could go to Vacation Island, or have the freedom us regular members used to have. I don’t think he is bad, but I don’t believe he’ll be the best for being our mayor.
