Hey everyone!
I hope you’ve been enjoying the summer so far… and haven’t forgotten to stop by the Kinzville Park to see Mayor Sophie. I think it’s great how the mayor takes the time to meet with everyone in person, and the gifts we get certainly don’t hurt! I don’t know about you, but I could use just about a million of those parade barriers.
But, Mayor Sophie isn’t the first mayor we’ve visited in the Park. Mayor Cowabelle started the tradition and Mayor Dr. Quack continued it. The next mayor will likely do the same!
That made me think… how do people feel about Mayor Sophie? I decided to hit the streets of Kinzville to find out.
First up, I ran into Salley Cat.
ELLA: Hi, Salley Cat! How’s it going?
SALLEY: Great, Ella, thanks for asking. What are you up to on this fine summer day?
ELLA: Well, I just got back from seeing Mayor Sophie in the Park. Have you been visiting her every day?
SALLEY: You bet I have! I’m still hoping to get the souvenir license plate to put up in my clubhouse.
ELLA: That sounds fun! Do you think Sophie’s been doing a good job?
SALLEY: Well, sure. I know how tough it is being Mayor — I saw how hard Cowabelle had to work when she had the job. I mean, I would have preferred if I had won a couple of elections ago, but Mayor Sophie seems to have a handle on it. Now if I could just convince her to make it easier to go to recess…
ELLA: Haha, yeah. Who doesn’t love recess? Maybe you should start a petition.
SALLEY: Maybe I will! Oh, I gotta run. Catch you later!
ELLA: See ya, Salley!
I wandered around Kinzville a bit more until I ran into Ms. Cowoline, the Kinzville Academy Superintendent.
ELLA: Hello, Ms. Cowoline! Lovely day, isn’t it?
MS. COWOLINE: Why yes it is, Ella. So nice to see you again.
ELLA: Likewise! I don’t mean to bother you, but I’m doing some research for my blog. Do you have a moment?
MS. COWOLINE: Of course, please, go ahead.
ELLA: Great! Seeing as Mayor Sophie’s in the Park right now, I was wondering how the people of Kinzville felt she was doing. Do you think she’s doing a good job?
MS. COWOLINE: Excellent question, Ella. I do understand the responsibilities that Mayor Stockwell has been juggling, what with her duties at Ganz eStore, as well as being Mayor of Kinzville. I believe she’s been doing an excellent job.
ELLA: What’s the best thing that’s come out of her time as mayor?
MS. COWOLINE: I must say, I do appreciate the choice she gives when handing out her gifts. Not everyone wants something they can’t sell or give away. I, for one, do not appreciate clutter. While her generous gifts are often things that I would love to have, it’s still nice to have the choice.
ELLA: That’s true. I do like to have options. Thanks for your input, Ms. Cowoline!
MS. COWOLINE: You’re welcome, dear.
After Ms. Cowoline, I actually ran into Dex Dangerous. Dex has run in every election so far, so I was sure he’d have an interesting opinion.
ELLA: Hey, Dex, how’s it going?
DEX: Ella, so great to see you. Are you here to interview me about my upcoming movie?
ELLA: Uh, no.. but I might do that soon. I actually wanted to ask you about Mayor Sophie.
DEX: Hmm, yes… All right, then.
ELLA: I wanted to ask you what kind of job you thought Mayor Sophie was doing.
DEX: Well, I can’t say that I’ve been paying too much attention. Been rather busy, you know.
ELLA: That’s understandable. You do have a pretty full schedule.
DEX: That’s right! But I always can make time for my fans. It’s very important for public figures to be available.
ELLA: That’s right! That’s why Mayor Sophie is in the Park right now meeting with the citizens of Kinzville.
DEX: Oh. Right. Well. You know, I love to sign autographs for my fans. It’s always important to give back.
ELLA: I hear you! I think that’s why Mayor Sophie is giving out a gift each day, and then a gift each month. She certainly likes to give back!
DEX: Yes, well. It’s not just about gifts, or spending time with people. Sometimes people need a bit of adventure!
ELLA: I think you’re right. Isn’t awesome that Mayor Sophie gave everyone a quest in Adventure Park?
DEX: Yes. Wonderful. Well, looks like I must be off, Ella. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch when you’re ready to interview me about my next movie.
ELLA: You got it, Dex. See you around!
Well, there you have it, folks. Looks like everyone so far is happy with Mayor Sophie. And if you’re not, well, it won’t be long before our next election. Make yourself heard and make sure you vote!

I missed stories like these!! I remember when they did these all the time with the Kinz Crew
This report was great! Especially with Dex. Ella, report on his new movie soon!! I honestly wish he would’ve won. At first, either Tabby, Dex, or Cowabelle, second was Salley(she was/is based on Sally Webkinz) or Dex, and last time was PJ or Dex. Then again, ever since Webkinz decided to do this whole new “leader of Kinzville” thing, Webkinz started to go down the road. When Webkinz wasn’t run by a Mayor was better. Cowabelle was an awesome mayor. I just wish Webkinz X didn’t destroy everything, I want Amazing World to come back. Animal Jam is like the only thing close to AW ever since it left. =(
So despite Dex’s self absorbed apathy, it seems Mayor Sophie has a high approval rating! We approve of the job Mayor Sophie is doing. However, it would be nice to see Dr. Quack turn up once in a while. And what a shame his miracle tonic is discontinued. We have several stored up just in case. It was fun making the smoothies. I haven’t tried to make one since they apparently stopped working.
Urg, *fixes Stoogles’ slipper. Any other bad typos?
When the time comes, I hope that Dex is so busy on his next movie project that he finally realizes that he doesn’t really have time to run for Mayor. I still support ‘Panda for Progress’ in the next election, but in the meantime, Mayor Sophie is doing an excellent job. I have no idea how she balances it all!
