Hi Hailey! Sorry – I know I promised to call you last night, but right now I can barely talk. It was my third concert last night and my voice is gone! You know, when I was recording my album, all the singing didn’t really take a toll on me, but I guess that’s because we had a lot of breaks and they were always having to stop and make adjustments, but when you’re up on stage for a concert you’re singing practically the whole time. By the end of the evening last night I was croaking out the lyrics. The audience didn’t seem to notice but today my vocal chords are aching. The chef made me some special tea which helped a little and all morning today I have been sucking on lozenges to soothe my throat. But I am trying not to talk at all. They tell me the best thing I can do is just rest my voice.
You know, touring isn’t exactly as glamorous as you might imagine.
I promise to call as soon as I can speak again!
Love,
El
Oh, Elwin, it must feel horrible! I’ve never lost my voice, so I can’t really understand your situation. Feel better soon Elwin! Keep eating those losenges and drinking that tea! Get well soon! ♥
If you learn sign language, you can communicate without talking. Take sign language classes so you can communicate a different way.
I just got back from vacation, wow Elwin, you’ve been having a rough time of it! Try honey & lemon juice warmed up. Good luck with the rest of your tour!
Oh no! It’s a good thing they didn’t notice. I hate sucking on throat candy. It’s disgusting, but it helps. I hope you took voice lessons from the Rockerz first. Because you might ruin your vocal chords
Poor Elwin, he’s really having a rough time: first bus-sickness, then stage fright, and now this! I like to sing but after a while it feels like my vocal cords are going to snap like rubber bands since I usually sing in a higher voice than when I talk.
Ya…I am sorry! I am too scared to sing… ;) I dance and play soccer and do dressage..but it’s not the same. :) I love sports. >^..^< Meow! Stealthstorm
