Don’t worry, kadielle — anything that’s in your dresser when you sell it gets put back in your Dock. You receive a message telling you exactly that, too.
Hey Fiona! I can’t seem to go anywhere on Webkinz! It always asks me to adopt a pet to do the thing. What should I do about this? – yay5634
Hi, yay5634! You have a couple of options — 1.) Look at your favorite retailer to see if they carry any Webkinz plush, or pick up one of our virtual pets from Ganz eStore to upgrade your account to full, or 2.) head to Ganz eStore and pick up a Deluxe Membership. You don’t have to do either of those things, of course, but certain parts of the site will be restricted.

Good question, MyLittlePony2010EG13! My family has a tendency to fly south when it starts getting colder, but I like to get nice and cozy right here at the Ganz headquarters. We celebrate Thanksgiving a little earlier (had mine already!) and I like to invite everyone who’s alone for the season to come along. Same goes for Christmas — everyone becomes a part of my family at this time of year!

I don’t like it that you prove you love your pet by buying it things. If you don’t buy it, they pout, like they’re spoiled brats!
I know, and when you’re a player who’s been using the site for a long time, chances are you already own everything that pet’s going to ask you to buy, so it’s requesting duplicates!
Dear Fiona, I was wondering what other ways to earn pet medallions will be added in the future and when will more pets will be added? I really like that we can get medallions as a log-in gift, through playing games, through the floaty-clicky, in a giftbox each month if we’re deluxe, and now on the Wheel of Wow. I’m just hoping more ways are yet to be added so we can get a medallion pet sooner. I have a suggestion that maybe during holidays everyone could be awarded a pet medallion giftbox (like the one Deluxe get) and that maybe pet medallions could be added to balloon darts or the prize claw.

anyone have any tips or tricks for finding a specific type of Zum? Like are Bratty Zums more common in one area? Do clicking blue ones more likely to get you a Tricky Zum? I ask because Zoom is the very last one I need to get and I can’t seem to find him…it’s been a LONG time….any helpful hints would be great.

Hi Fiona! Why don’t items sell back to the W-Shop at full retail value? It would be nice if I could buy furniture to try it in my room with the confidence that if it doesn’t match, I can return it to get all my kinzcash back. It would be nice if they changed it to a full refund. Thanks! :)
i think it would be cool if there was a preview version for w-shop items, bc i also run into issues with items not matching or fitting in with the room. like, in edit mode, you can open a w-shop window and move the item youre interested in around to make sure it looks good, and then buy it so you dont waste money.
I think that is a pretty cool idea, I always buy something from the W shop and see if it fits only to that it doesn’t work right in that room so I sell it back and only get half the money.
I want to know if we will ever get a “quantity” option in the W shop. I like to feed my pets apples. I have 30 pets now, so I would like to be able to buy 300 apples at a time. Or at least have separate “Buy 1″ and “Buy 10″ buttons. That would save a lot of time and clicking.
Grow your own apples in your own orchard. That isn’t so costly and is fun to have your pets “pick” their own fruit.
I really miss when the W-shop had a shopping cart. Never understood why they took that away in the first place. And they still clearly have the technology, look at the Sell Items screen. Of course we also still desperately need a way to mass harvest large gardens, too.
I would love to sell items more than 12 at a time. I don’t always sell my garden harvests the day I get them and now I have so much in my dock. I don’t want to spend all my time selling instead of playing.
What great questions! I wondered some of those things myself, so it’s good to know. And what great traditions, Fiona! Every year, my family hands out free Thanksgiving dinners at our church to those who are less fortunate. It is a really great way to spend the holiday together doing something nice for others. Our Christmas traditions involve lighting the Advent candles, and making the same favorite cookies and fudge that we do every year, and then sharing them with teachers, our mail carrier, and our trash collector. I love hearing about everyone’s holiday traditions! Thanks for getting the question out there, ~MLP!

Your pets don’t make requests if they are asleep. :)
They don’t if they are asleep but then another pet will still ask for stuff. But who wants to play with a sleeping pet anyway.
But then they look dead in the annoying new ‘interactive’ avatars. I’m sure my pets are tired of sleeping all the time, too, (And I am absolutely tired of all those Zzzz’s in the room) but the programmers have left us no choice. With this update. That many many people have complained about. Since they inflicted it upon us in still more painful than not Webkinz X-hausting.
my pets must talk in their sleep :), because I get ‘requests’ from my sleeping cuties all the time. and they ask for things I already have, food to eat, clothes to wear, games to play and jobs to do. I love how my happiness points go up.
I wish you could. The pet requests are way too frequent and not filling hearts for doing the pet care on your own is frustrating. My youngest doesn’t play on Webkinz because of it, beyond doing the challenges. My oldest has to play in spite of it, because she loves to make stories. The pet constantly requesting things and then pouting if their demands are not met, is such a way to restrict the kids own imaginations. It is the one thing our whole family is disappointed with when it comes to changes in WW. More interaction with the pet would be welcome, but not like this.
Once you fulfill one request, the pet stops asking for the whole rest of the day. If you don’t fulfill the request, it will keep asking for different things.
Well, how about when your pet requests doing a job and you can’t for another 6 hours? Or when they want to take a class at the academy and they can’t because they already did all their alloted classes for the day? These requests are so annoying, while others are just silly. Pets requesting to wear a specific article of clothing while they already have it on. Pets requesting an activity (say, to take a bath) when they are already doing so at that very moment. Smh! An adult can understand these non-sensical randomly posted requests, but a child may think, “My [cat] is so dumb!” It would have been nice if I hadn’t needed to explain these requests to my grandson and disillusion his perception of his pet and WW.
Oof, I feel ya puppies4me. My pets will ask me at the stupidest times too, like while at the Clubhoue or park when I’m in the middle of chatting with me friends. And then if I put my pet in bed, his hunger meters go all the way down the next day. Geez. I really hate the “will you buy me this” requests especially since I’m trying to save my money. Half of the time they’re asking for something I already own, too! *facepalm*

I am still baffled as to how Ganz made the huge mistake that is Webkinz X. I mean, who were they even targeting with that eXasperating update? Like you guys are saying here, it is so annoying it actually drives younger players away from the site instead of encouraging them to care for the pet as intended! It doesn’t make the pets endearing to them, just annoying. Who would have a good opinion of a character who makes endless demands and then mopes when they don’t get what they want? (My Webkinz is sad because I didn’t buy them some exact piece of clothing, really?!) Then there’s some older players who quit Webkinz due to the changes as well, too. It’s just fortunate for Ganz they’ve still got the die-hard fans like us around who remain loyal even after such a huge mistake. Now I’m just hoping they will reward us for that loyalty eventually by giving us the option to turn off pet requests…please, Ganz, if you guys did that, we’d be even more thrilled than we were over being able to move our rooms!
