Field Trip #6 – Prehistoric Paradise

Hello everyone! Are you ready for a field trip that takes a huge step back in time?

Today we’re going to visit a Prehistoric Paradise! Prehistory, meaning before history, is the span of time before recorded history or the invention of writing systems. There is not much known about prehistoric times but what we do know has been found as drawings on cave walls.

Through those cave drawings we learned about prehistoric animals like Sabertooth Tigers, Pterodactyls, and Woolly Mammoths, just to name a few! There were also Dinosaurs!

Did you know that there are about 700 named species of dinosaur? Paleontologists – those are scientists who study fossils and dinosaur bones – believe that there are hundreds more types of dinosaurs still waiting to be discovered!

Here’s some fun facts about dinosaurs: the longest dinosaur is the Seismosaurus which was about as long as 5 school buses. The smallest is the Compsognathus (also known as “Compys”) were just larger than chickens. The tallest is the Sauroposeidon which was about as tall as a building with six floors. The heaviest is the Brachiosaurus which was about as heavy as 17 African elephants. Wow!

Prehistoric times are also typically divided into three separate eras based on the tools and weapons that man used: the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age.

Hey, speaking of Stone Age, here is a code for your very own Stone Age Outfit souvenir to take home with you from this very special trip back in time! You can enter this code into the Code Shop.

I have always wanted this outfit but couldn’t get it due to it being a mystery clothing bag. I hope this happens with some of the other older mystery clothing bags, too. :) Pittiesrule

Only suggestion I have would be (for fish also) HATS that include SPIKES or spines that go down the back like a cape . That way EVEN FISH could get that ANCIENT deep water look . As in Mariana trench deep watter. These could also have a light coming out of the top or face. There are some really wild looking deep water fish. But these could make a normal pet look more prehistoric awesome. !! Just a thought .
