Here’s a really fun and easy game to play with a group of campers! Here’s what you do:
Everyone sits in a circle. One person (‘It’) leaves the room for a moment. To get the game started, one person in the circle becomes the rhythm maker and starts a rhythm by clapping their hands, stamping their feet, or tapping their hands on their knees (or any combination of those things). Everyone else has to copy that person. When everyone is doing the action, It is called back in. It sits in the center of the circle. Now here comes the tricky part; It has to figure out the identity of the rhythm maker. The rhythm maker must change up the pattern now and then, but it’s important to do it while It isn’t looking in their direction. Everyone else has to follow the new pattern by keeping an eye on the rhythm maker. If It thinks they know the rhythm maker’s identity, they can call out a name. If they’re right, that person is the new It. If they’re wrong, they have to keep guessing. After five guesses, let It know who the rhythm maker was and choose a new It!
Sounds fun!! I love to play group games!
I agree with camcam thats games is like a game you would play in prep school! :(
