Wow, these look amazing! Congrats everyone!
WOW! That sloth is beautiful!
Yeah! It’s very creative to use paper to make the picture instead of a pencil!
Wow! Amazing artwork! Makes me wish I could draw! :-)

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
wow. impressive work, everyone!
Absolutely love the Signature African Wild Dog @huskyeggs did! great job to everyone though!
Whoops meant Hyena lol
Orion is getting to you. ;P
lol Pokekinz I will probably send in a picture of my signature Siamese cat Sarah Lee or maybe do her and her brother felix the Siamese cat or maybe my ocelot omg so many choices lol
Whoops, my reply to Fracktail ended way below where I wanted it to. :/
I just got a Signature Siamese Cat. I think I’m naming her Tamira (Tami is her nickname). I want another one, though, one that I can make a boy. Heheheheh, a very manly Siamese Cat. With scars, too. Maybe. I wish I were better at drawing cats…. :|
I thought it was an African Dog too! I was all like OH MY GOSH THAT’S LIKE ORION (Pokekinz’s pet, although you already know that lava dragon :P). But then I noticed it was a Hyena, which is also pretty funny because one of my main pets I use is Helix the nutty hyena. But yeah, that really is a great picture! I love the furry fluff, and the colored outlines make the picture look softer too.
Should I start doing that? Obviously Shadow’s Outline would still be black, but for my other pets. Hmmmm….
Well, when I do paintings I usually do that, but on the computer it’d be too hard (until I learned how to do blocking instead of doing the outline first and then coloring). I say go for it!
Colored outlines on the computer are the key to making a drawing look neater. Black pen outlining on paper makes it look sharp, and the colors stay in check, rather than bleeding into other colors. And I’m starting to rack up famous pets on Webkinz Newz. Let’s see, Countrykinz’s Topaz, Pokekinz’s Orion….okay I JUST JUST found out about that one, and now Helix the nutty Hyena! I wonder if my pets will ever be famous…well, okay, if I never mention them, I guess they wouldn’t. But my favorite pets are Decadus, my Decade Dragon, Blizzard (I now hate his name) my Arctic Fox, and Maria, my Signature Small Golden Retriever. Oh, and Angelica my Sapphire Unicorn. :) ANYWAY, before I keep rambling….well yeah awesome drawings up there and random conversations about drawing and famous pets right here. Huh.
I guess it all depends on the picture; if it was a picture with a gentle mood, I think colored outlines would help it look softer and not have too much contrast, but with others the black outline makes the colors pop more. Also, your pets sound really cool! Your list of pets made me think of something…what if all of the pets of Webkinz Newz users had their own talk show? Like, they could all take turns hosting it or something. It’d be virtually impossible to pull off, but it’s a fun idea, I think.
That IS a fun idea, Fracktail! But of course, there would be various reasons why that couldn’t happen. But it’s so fun to think of happy and awesome things like that. Also, I agree with you on how to choose how to outline a picture. :)
One can dream…although sometimes dreams are best just staying dreams. Like, once I had a dream that a giant squid was running a jewelry shop. It was really weird. But, I digress! Outlining pictures is cool.
Hum…. I’m not sure what blocking is, I just work in layers, which helps an infinite amount. So I can trace and erase with the computer without messing up the scan I’m tracing. I know there’s some way to tint the color of the lines when you use Photoshop, but it looks really complicated, and I use SmoothDraw4. I might just stick to black outlines for now, and maybe switch over when I’ve gained more experience. And then one day I might even try lineless art (dang it that looks hard).
I use layers too! Layers have saved my life on multiple occasions. Well, actually, they only made stuff easier, but that’s beside the point! From what I know, blocking is when you have the sketch and then color the sketch before you do the outline, so that you can do cool stuff with the colors and all that. I use SketchBook Express, though, so I don’t know if I can do it on that; I have heard that Paint Tool Sai is pretty good, though.
Ohhh maaaaaaaaaaan, digital art is so coooomplicateeeeed. *Bangs head on keyboard* There are definitely downsides to being a self-taught artist. I’ve picked up a few techniques and stuff from a few drawing books, people, and random stuff on the internet, but I’ve never taken classes, and the stuff I picked up from people was just by watching them. That’s actually how I learned how to use layers, from a speed-paint video. Maybe I should do some research.
You two seem very good at art. Also, I really enjoy reading your comments. :)
Well, the upside of being a self-taught artist is that being taught how to draw can never compare to discovering how to draw, at least in my opinion. That way, you can get better through practice and observation, all the while developing your own unique style that it a conglomerate of your experiences and personality! I’ve never taken classes either, and I think it actually helped me grow independently as an artist. But, I digress. I don’t think a little research would hurt, since learning new techniques can help you get better at your art!
Why thank you ArtMagician. :D But seriously, Orion is famous? When did that happen?? I mean, I know he’s the King of the Signatures and all, but still, how did that happen. I just like drawing manga/anime or whatever it is, although I know little about it, and I’m not that familiar with the style. And sometimes I do sketches. And random weird styles that I have no idea what the heck they are. And Space Potatoes. I think I am good for my age, but that doesn’t seem to keep me from looking at my art extremely critically. Although I always seem to notice things other people don’t, while they notice things I never would have. So it all works out, I guess. I just feel sorta generic when I draw manga, because soooo many people draw manga. Not that I’m switching my style, I mean, it’s my style, ya’ll. I also don’t give my Webkinz whites in their eyes. I’m sure some people think that’s weird, but I don’t do it cuz the plushes don’t have whites in their eyes. Except my Lil’ Kinz Horse, which if I ever draw her, she will have whites in her eyes. Same reason Shadow, Orion, and Berrina have only three toes on each paw. That’s what the plush has. But you may have noticed Berrina has blue eyes while the plush does. Or that Shadow has a mouth. But Shadow needs a mouth. So he can yell and growl and grit his teeth. Oh, and eat and breath.
Well, I guess eating and breathing might be convenient…but everyone knows that mouths are really for yelling and growling. Joking aside, I like how you remain true to what the plush looks like while still adding your own style. I try to do that, but I usually add a defining feature to my characters to make them recognizable (e.g. Blossom’s hat, Jazzy’s sunglasses, Helix’s mismatched red and blue eyes, Fluff’s googly eyes, etc.). Actually, Poseidon’s the only one who doesn’t have an obvious trait (although I draw him with blue eyes while the plush has brown eyes, so…that’s something?)
Whoops, I meant “Berrina has blue eyes while the plush doesn’t“, not “does”. :P Darn typos.
Thanks! For some reason I can’t stand giving them four toes or whites in their eyes when they don’t have it on the plush. :P I also tend to exaggerate a feature or two when I draw my Webkinz. Orion has an extremely fluffy tail, large ears, a ridiculous grin, and a very large amount of collar fur. Shadow also has exagerated collar fur, and the shape of his eyes is probably the most unique of any of my characters (incidentally, Shadow also seems to sound less human then my other anthropomorphic characters. He still sounds human, but it almost sounds like he’s got a growl in the back of his voice or something. And it’s super deep). I think my characters are relatively recognizable, and of course there’s their personalities. And their flaws. I love their flaws. :3 I think I want to try and redo the picture of Shadow and Orion in your style (well, it’s sorta like your style), but do them in separate pictures. I think I’d also do their eye color this time. But I should really finish the pictures I’ve already started… “Coming this June (possibly), a picture that was meant for Easter!”
Huskyeggs is my sister, OMG I can’t believe her Art is featured on GanzWorld, I’m telling her right away :D
Wow Aleu15, Your sister is very good at that!
Ikr?

Wow! They are all very GRReat looking!!!
MandevillaRed, Take a picture of it and send it to them
OH MY GOSH THAT ZUM IS SO MAJESTIC. I am not even kidding, it is just amazing. I love Sleepy Zums so much ahhhh! I also really like thecherrykinz’s raccoon, I love how the pose is so dynamic. It’s like she’s really trotting along!
These users are natural born Webkinz artists. They draw like professionals! Keep up the good work, @huskyeggs, @thecherrykinz, @wkinz_lanturnite, @lissikinz, @official_rainbow_splash, and @ricos.kinz.palace. I love @ricos.kinz.palace’s sloth portrait the best of all the awesome pictures.
Thank you modestcat! ^^
“Did the competition end yet?” “Or is there still time to enter?” “Someone please answer!”
Hehehehe yes, Orion is getting to me Pokekinz ;)
These are amazing. I’m not going to say anything else.
Awesome…probably better than I can do. I tried drawing my four Webkinz poodles (Regular, Pink, Black, and Lil’ Kinz Regular) a while back and they turned out a little weird. I think I’m most suited for drawing ponies (and super simple Pokemon like Ditto and Jigglypuff XD).
AND PIKACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
