Based on feedback from our Deluxe members, and statistics about how KinzChat is used, we determined that the Deluxe gold color zone wasn’t receiving significant usage – in fact, we heard from our Deluxe members that they often felt it was getting in the way of reaching the other color zones. For these reasons, we’ve removed the gold zone from the KinzChat cell phone.
The Deluxe Gold Zone was less used and more responsive and we got to connect with another higher class of Deluxe members. I’d like to see the results of the Gold Zone vote, much like the communal contest results were shown. Instead of just deleting the problem zone and disappointing your clients, use the money we paid for Deluxe to fix the other zone issues you mentioned above.

ganz i use the gold zone for chat and was one of the benefits of a deluxe membership. you never asked me or anyone i know if we should get rid of the gold zone. sounds like your reason to get rid of another glitch you never fixed. i want my gold zone back
What gets in the way of changing color zones is NOT the color of the zone you are in, but having the programming kick you back to the newspaper whenever you switch color zones. That happens for any color zone switch!
Taking away color zones means taking away opportunities to see Doug the Dog and have parties in the Coral Cove on vacation. Bring back our opportunities! (they are only once per color zone per day right now)
I never got the opportunity to be asked about the gold zone. I used it all the time. I paid for it as part of my deluxe membership agreement. I bought 11 gift memberships in December that haven’t been activated yet. When I purchased these gifts, I was told that having the gold color zone was one of the benefits of being deluxe. You can’t just take away benefits after they have already been paid for. I am not sure who you asked, but NO deluxe member I know was ever asked about this! Bring back the gold zone.
You are totally wrong. I used this color zone almost every day as did my friends.
You lied to all of us about Deluxe. When I bought it, it was advertised we get the Gold Zone. You should have notified us BEFORE you removed the zone. This is a FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!
Deluxe is a waste of money to me now. Nobody buy Deluxe. It’s a rip off. When will you be discontinuing our monthly gift boxes? And our Deluxe Activities?
I am so utterly disgusted and fed up with you people doing things like this. Once in a while, I feel really thankful. But then you do something and ruin the moment.
This is a real disappointment Ganz. We paid money for Deluxe accounts and this was something we considered a real benefit. No one talked to us — I don’t know who you surveyed but I know many deluxe members (and we have over 10 deluxe accounts in my family) and no one has talked to anyone I know about this.
If it is a problem with non-deluxe accounts — fix those problems — don’t take away something we paid good money for.
What a farce…what survey??? Was this a survey of staff….because I have not heard of anyone out of the 100,000+ members of a certain site that were every surveyed regarding this. You can’t take something away after it has already been paid for….what are you thinking???!!! Remind me again what is special about deluxe? When it first came out, there were special perks…now, what, we get 4 or 5 extra activities per day, but few if any are ‘deluxe specific’….The price went up and perks for deluxe members went down…remind me again what is special about deluxe? Are you thinking this will increase deluxe enrollment…hello, taking away rather than giving advantages to deluxe members is not how you get more deluxe enrollment…take a survey…I’m sure that is what most people would tell you. I’ve been deluxe since deluxe was first initiated, and can you say DOWNHILL!!!! Very sad!
Exactly WHO of the deluxe members did you talk to because EVERY deluxe member I know is VERY UPSET at this and that INCLUDES ME!!! I JUST paid for deluxe renewal for 5 accounts and the main reason on 3 of those accounts was for the GOLD ZONE that was advertised. I am one unhappy customer and the amount of money I spend on Webkinz world is substantial. Take note Ganz!!!
