Hey, it’s Elwin here. Our friend, PJ Collie had some really good news lately. The landlord of her basement apartment told her they were renovating the whole building and she could choose the new fixtures that she wanted. PJ had some KinzCash saved up too so she thought it would be the perfect excuse to get rid of her old mishmash of furniture and invest in some new pieces to go with the new look.
This is PJ’s place before. She really needs a better workspace in the kitchen, and her bedroom furniture is pretty, but in an open concept space she really needs to tie all the colors together better. I don’t think those pink pieces are working with the rest of the apartment. She also wants some more storage space and Hailey and I have a great idea on how to tie in extra closet space with a new bathroom enclosure that will be a little more private.
So here is the end result. PJ asked her landlord for the Pop Star Wallpaper and Flooring. For her kitchen she went with a Psychedelic Circles Counter island with a couple of Golden Trend Kitchen Stools, and an Avante Condo Counter flanked by a Good as Golden Stove and a Taste for Gold Fridge. She also showed her landlord our idea for built-in closets around the bathroom and he really liked it so he had those installed too, along with some Dance Studio Long Mirrors. Although we didn’t change the layout of the bathroom at all the final design was much more functional.
Once we had the bones of the room in place, we could start to add flair with furniture pieces. We drew a lot on the 70’s theme, the Golden theme and the Avant Condo theme because they picked up the orange in the wallpaper nicely. In our bedroom, we started with a Gold Standard Rug and then combined 70’s items like the Groovy Digs Dresser and the Copasetic Chair with pieces from the Spa Theme, like the Serenity Slumber Bed, the Gathered Under Glass Side Table and we blocked off the space with a few Solitude Dividers. We accessorized with a Pile of Persian Pillows. In the living room we laid down the Psychedelic Circles Rug and then mixed pieces like the Outta Sight Orbital Chair, the Sit On It Sofa, and the Avante Condo Modular Sofa. We shed some light on the subject with the Let’s Boogie Lamp and we thought that the Deep Jungle Television was a fun touch. And she has a workspace tucked behind the sofa with the Artist’s Desk.
PJ loves the look and we think it goes really well with her colorful personality.
Always love the makeovers even with all that yellow!
It is very… orange, for lack of better word.

The apartment is pretty good and unlike most people i like the orange. It is a little crowded but that is just how apartments are some times and i also like the clothes iin the bathroom well you know what i mean, the bathroom is really good because if you need to get dressed after going in the bath and there are people over you can just grab your close and stuff with out going out. anyway i really like the room, but i think some time you should make a room with items that are not ganz estore because then i would probly coppy it and love it more!!!
YES, I AGREE… I THINK THAT SOMETIME THEY SHOULD MAKE A ROOM WITH ITEMS THAT ARE NOT FROM GANZ ESTORE… THAT WOULD BE REALLY NICE!!!! ~BEADS
P.S.
NICE ROOM! :D
Really nice rooms!!!! They are a little crowded… I might like the second one better than the first one…I really like the big shelves! GREAT JOB! ~BEADS
Wait a minute, why did they say she had enough KinzCash saved up? Shouldn’t she have been saving her eStore points? (Well, guess there’s SOME W-Shop in there)

A bit too functional, in my opinion. I don’t really like the Built-In Closet, no offense H + E. And I just dislike orange! ♥X♥

How come the Final Room looks SO MUCH BIGGER than the first room? It makes it look as if they changed rooms, which, of course, they didn’t. :-)
